Free Noncredit Classes Conveniently Located Throughout San Francisco

Welcome to City College of San Francisco Transitional Studies Department's website. The Transitional Studies Department offers instruction in the CCSF High School Diploma Program, General Education Development (GED), Adult Basic Education, and Vocational Foundation Skills. The curriculum consists of noncredit courses in reading, writing, mathematics, and specific subjects at elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels. Instructional methodology includes both individualized and traditional classroom instruction.

All courses are free of charge and are designed to help students complete their adult education and, if desired, transfer to two-year degree or vocational programs.

Programs and classes are available day and evening at DeAvila, 31 Gough, Southeast, Downtown, and Mission campuses. The Mission Campus offers instruction in Spanish.
