AND TRANSPORTATION
Student Housing
Students will be provided with double or triple rooms in student residences
or single rooms in homestays for the duration of the program. Student
residences have phones, kitchenettes and bathrooms. Homestays are
located throughout Paris, within the city limits. Students housed
with families will receive breakfast daily as part of their homestay.
Housing is limited and is assigned on a first come, first served
basis.
Student Services
The ACCENT Paris Center is located near the Bastille. The fully-staffed
ACCENT Center serves as a home base to program participants, and
is open during the week for students to use the resource and lending
library, ask questions, collect their mail, receive and send email
and take advantage of a variety of student services. ACCENT Centers
are located in San Francisco, Paris, Florence and Rome, Madrid and London.
In addition to the cultural program, the ACCENT Center organizes
a series of optional social activities that allow students to discover
Paris and meet local residents. Activities often include free concerts,
ice skating, dinners, tours of Parisian neighborhoods, visits to
famous cemeteries and other activities that are "off the beaten
path.
Transportation
All participants must arrive in Paris on September 2, 2011
between 9 am and 5 pm. (NOTE: Most
transatlantic flights depart one day before their arrival date).
Early arrivals can not be accomocated. Students are responsible for arranging their own flights from the U.S. to Paris and back.
