Cultural learning is an integral part of the Semester in Madrid program.
Students take part in a cultural activity series that includes one evening concert, opera or ballet performance. ACCENT will also plan a series of free or low-cost activities, which will vary, but may include lectures on local customs and contemporary issues, sports events, film evenings, walking tours, dinners, and excursions. Excursions are chosen based on the academic curriculum and are subject to change.

This program also offers three optional one-day excursions outside of Madrid to Toledo, Segovia/La Granja and El Escorial/Valle de los Caidos, or similar locations, as well as one optional four-day, three-night excursion to Barcelona including hotel accomodations (double/triple rooms), transportation and guided visits; breakfast will be provided daily. Prices for these excursions will be provided by ACCENT following the acceptance of your application for this program.
