FINANCIAL AID PROCESS:
NOTE: Financial Aid is supposed to supplement a student's cost
of education. It is not meant to support a student's entire cost
of education. Also, Financial Aid is limited to 90 cumulative units.
To apply for Financial Aid, all students must complete a Free Application
for Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA). These applications
are available in any public library, high school, in our office
and on the web. You will need to know the Title IV School code for
the college you want to attend. The Title IV School Code for City
College of San Francisco is 012874. If you have any question you

STEPS TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID:
- Apply for Admission to CCSF
- File a FAFSA: Title IV School Code for City College of San Francisco
is 012874
- Wait to receive Student Aid Report (SAR)
- Make changes if necessary
- Submit Financial Aid forms in person
- You will receive an award letter and a payment schedule.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID:
- Be enrolled in an eligible program
- Be an U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
- Male students (between 18-25) must register with the Selective Service
- Hold a High School Diploma (GED), or pass the Ability Benefit
test
- Not be in default or owe a refund on federal loans & grants
- Maintain CCSF Satisfactory academic progress (complete 67% of units
attempted and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
or better)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Not have a drug offense conviction
