| City College of San Francisco's School of Applied Science & Technology
was founded to help meet the increasing demands of the high-performance
work-place of the 21st century. The school offers a variety of challenging
vocational programs and services, both credit and non-credit, at 11
campus locations in San Francisco. |
| Purpose |
| Vocational education is one of the primary missions of the college.
Approximately 40% of the students attending City College of San Francisco
participate in vocational programs. The aim of vocational education
is to prepare students for productive careers and help them broaden
their perspectives. |

The School of Applied Science & Technology prepares students
for employment in fields promising continued career and personal growth.
The programs are supported by career advising to ensure that students
are introduced to a full range of available vocational opportunities
and technologies, and to acquaint them with all aspects of industry.
Other special services include personal counseling and tutoring to
assist students in setting and successfully accomplishing career goals.
