Dear Student,

Thank you for your interest in the City College of San Francisco’s (CCSF) Diagnostic Medical Imaging (DMI) Program commonly referred to as the Radiologic Technology Program. Applications are accepted for admission once a year in September.  Accepted students will be placed in either the Spring or Fall 2010 semester.  This totals approximately 30 students accepted per year. In order to give all applicants a fair and equal opportunity for admission, we will only review those application packets that are complete and postmarked between September 1st and September 15th, 2009All application packets must contain the official forms found within this packet and will not be accepted if hand delivered, sent in early, or after the deadline.

Radiology is truly an exciting field that is in demand for qualified people. We want to help you with your goal to become part of a vital member of the healthcare team. Please carefully read this packet completely. It contains important information concerning the DMI program. You are eligible to apply to the program when you have completed all of the prerequisite courses and volunteering. All courses must be completed by the end of the Summer semester before the application deadline.  Students that have any prerequisites pending will be disqualified from admission.

This DMI Program is a rigorous, demanding, full-time program making outside employment difficult if not impossible, Candidates are strongly urged to evaluate their financial status prior to application and plan for expenses including: tuition, fees, texts, uniforms, shoes and transportation.  It is also strongly recommended that applicants complete the Physiology and General Education courses required for the Associate of Science degree prior to entering the DMI program. Questions regarding prerequisites, graduation requirements, and transferability of course work should be directed to the counseling department at CCSF.

Your interest in the program is appreciated.  We are here to serve the students of our community college and hope that your journey through the world of radiology is successful.

Sincerely,

The Radiologic Sciences Department Faculty
