An officer stationed at an AVOID the 14 DUI checkpoint stopped a
driver he suspected of driving under the influence. The driver
failed several field sobriety tests as well as a breath test. The
driver also had several baggies of suspected cocaine in his
possession. The suspect was taken to county jail and booked for
possession of a controlled substance and driving under the
influence. The driver’s vehicle was impounded – Officer Edwards

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for playing loud
music on Cloud Circle. The driver of the vehicle fled after the
officer told him to pull over. The suspect drove through campus at a
high rate of speed almost striking several students. The officer did
not pursue the suspect because of the danger posed to the public. The
officer put out a description of the suspect’s vehicle and direction
of travel. Another SFCCDPD unit stopped the suspect at
Circular Avenue
and Monterey Blvd. The suspect was arrested and two passengers in the
vehicle were identified and released. The suspect was booked at
county jail for evading police in a reckless manner along with
multiple violation of the vehicle code. The suspect’s vehicle was

Building. They found a person camping on the Hillside. The person
turned out to be a homeless student. The student was admonished and

A student officer reported to police that there was a vehicle with
marijuana sitting on the dashboard. An officer responded and found
what appeared to be a marijuana plant lying on the dashboard. The
officer could also smell the odor of marijuana emanating from the
vehicle. The officer was unable to locate the driver of the vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded and SFPD’s Narcotics Bureau was notified –

An officer responded to a report of a fire in a dumpster in the North
Science Lot. Several employees were trying to put out the fire using
extinguishers and water. The officer called the fire department for

An officer responded to a burglar alarm in the bookstore. The officer
found a burglary suspect in the bookstore. The officer detained the
suspect and found a large folding knife on her. Due to the suspect’s
violent criminal history the officer called for additional units. The
officer found several items from the bookstore in the suspect’s jacket
pockets. The suspect was booked at county jail for burglary and

An officer on patrol spotted a suspect that matched the description of
a person dealing drugs in the area of Batmale Hall. Officers stopped
the suspect and identified him as a student. While conducting a
search for weapons, a Sergeant detected the odor of marijuana. The
suspect had several bags of marijuana packaged for sale. The suspect
was booked at county jail for possession for sale of marijuana and

campus after suspension. The suspect was given a trespass
admonishment by police an hour early and escorted off campus. The

Officers responded to the area of Batmale Hall on a report of a drug
deal in progress. The witness followed one of the suspects involved.
Officer detained the suspect and investigated the incident. It was
determined that the suspect detained was most likely buying drugs.
The suspect was later released and referred to the Dean of Student for
