September 2006

09/30, Ocean Campus, 1355 hours - An officer observed a subject lying on the ground on Ocean Avenue.  The officer stopped to assist the subject.  The subject had been drinking alcohol and took some prescription medication.  Another officer at the scene called the Fire Department.  SFFD Paramedics arrived and transported the man to the hospital - Officer Milowe reporting.

09/30, Ocean Campus, 0800 hours - An officer was dispatched to the Reservoir parking lot regarding a vandalism.  A shipping container was spray painted with large graffiti - Officer Milowe reporting.

09/29, Ocean Campus, 1555 hours - An officer was dispatched to the Reservoir parking lot regarding a theft from vehicle.  A student said her vehicle was broken into and several items were stolen - Officer Castillo reporting.

09/29, Ocean Campus, 1215 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle in the Reservoir.  A student said someone broke into his vehicle and stolen several items - Officer Smith reporting.

09/29, Ocean Campus, 1030 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft in Cloud Hall.  A student told police he left his property in a restroom and when he returned it was missing - Officer Smith reporting.

09/29, Ocean Campus, 0855 hours - Officers responded to a report of a medical emergency in Cloud Hall.  A student was having trouble breathing.  An Ambulance was called and the student was transported to the hospital - Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

09/29, Ocean Campus, 0717 hours - Officers responded to the Reservoir parking lot on a report of two vehicles drag racing.  An off-duty police officer observed the two vehicles racing around the Reservoir before calling police.  Both drivers were stopped and arrested.  Both drivers were issued citations and their vehicles were impound - Officer Milowe reporting.

09/28, Ocean Campus, 2242 hours - An officer stopped a person riding a "pocket motorcycle" in the Reservoir parking lot for not wearing a helmet.  The rider of the motorcycle had a suspended license.  A criminal history check of the subject showed he had a warrant for his arrest out of San Mateo County.  The subject was issued a citation for multiple violations of the California Vehicle Code and his motorcycle was towed.  The subject was taken to County Jail Nine and booked for his outstanding warrant - Officer Borrego reporting.

09/28, Ocean Campus, 1933 hours - Officers responded to the Science Building regarding a student having a seizure.  Officers arrived and found the student on the ground.  SFFD Paramedics arrived a short time later and took the student to the hospital - Officer Castillo reporting.

09/28, Ocean Campus, 1350 hours - An officer responded to Judson Avenue on a report of a vandalism to vehicle.  A student told the officer someone punctured a tire on her vehicle while it was parked on Judson Ave - Officer Hakes reporting.

09/28, Ocean Campus, 1258 hours - Officers responded to the Student Union regarding a disruption.  A responding officer stopped a suspect leaving the area.  A student and a college employee told police the suspect threatened them with violence.  A criminal history check of the suspect showed he had several warrants for his arrest.  The suspect was taken to County Jail Nine and booked for making terrorist threats, assault and outstanding warrants - Officer Boyko reporting. 

09/28, Ocean Campus, 1100 hours - Officers responded to the North Gym on a report of an injured person.  A student was feeling dizzy and lying on the ground.  SFFD Paramedics arrive a short time later and transported the student to the hospital - Officer Ngoi reporting.

09/27, Ocean Campus, 1609 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle.  A student said his vehicle was broken into while it was parked on Circular Ave and several items were stolen - Officer Hector reporting.

09/27, Ocean Campus, 1300 hours - An Officer was dispatched to the Science Building regarding a vandalism.  Someone spray painted a "tag" in several locations.  The clean up of the vandalism will cost the college thousands of dollars - Officer Boyko reporting.   

09/27, Mission Campus, 1245 hours - An officer was dispatched regarding an injured student.  The student cut himself during class.  The student went to the hospital for treatment - Officer Lopez reporting.

09/27, Phelan Campus, 1130 hours - An officer was dispatched to Conlan Hall on a report of a student that had been threatened.  The student was at the MUNI stop on Ocean Ave when the suspect approached him and threatened his safety.  The student could not identify the suspect because he is blind - Officer Edwards reporting.

09/27, Phelan Campus, 0934 hours - A Sergeant was dispatched to a 911 call of a "road rage" incident in the Reservoir parking lot.  The Sergeant met with a student who reported that her vehicle was vandalized after a parking dispute.  The student provided a good description of the suspect - Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

09/26, Phelan Campus, 1048 hours - An officer was dispatched to the Student Union regarding a person having a medical emergency.  The officer found a student that was having trouble staying conscious.  The officer called for paramedics.  SFFD Paramedics arrived and took the student to the hospital - Officer Boyko reporting.

09/26, Mission Campus, 1745 hours - An officer responded to a report of a suspicious package in the parking garage.  The officer was unable to determine the origins of the package.  SFPD's Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EOD) was called to investigate.  After taking safety measures for the public, the package was made safe using EOD techniques - Officer Lopez reporting.

09/25, Castro/Valencia Campus, 1652 hours - An officer stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license.  A criminal history check showed that the driver had a warrant for his arrest out of Marin County.  The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for his traffic offenses and his vehicle was impounded.  The driver of the vehicle was taken to County Jail Nine and booked on his warrant - Officer Castillo reporting.

09/25, Ocean Campus, 1515 hours - Officers responded to Arts Extension for a warrant arrest.  Officers assisted agents from the ATF in locating and arresting a student wanted in connection with a gun smuggling ring.  The student was arrested without incident.  A small amount of marijuana was also found on the student.  The student was booked at County Jail Nine on his warrant - Officer Edwards reporting.  

09/25, Ocean Campus, 1151 hours - A Sergeant stopped a vehicle for playing loud music on Cloud Circle.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  A large folding knife was found on the driver of the vehicle.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and his car was impounded - Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.      

09/25, Ocean Campus, 1025 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a disturbance in the Reservoir.  A student said he witnessed a fight between to men - Officer Brooks reporting.

09/22, John Adams Campus, 1230 hours - An officer responded to the Cafeteria regarding a student "feeling ill".  SFFD Paramedics were called to assist.  The student refused transport by the Paramedics and was picked-up by a friend - Officer Flood reporting.

09/21, Ocean Campus, 1124 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle.  A student reported that someone siphoned gas from his vehicle while it was parked on Judson Avenue.  The student also reported his gas cap was missing - Officer Boyko reporting.

09/21, Ocean Campus, 0936 hours - A Sergeant was dispatched to the Rosenberg Library on a report of a person photographing women inappropriately.  A suspect was arrested trying to leave the library.  After an investigation, the suspect was issued a citation and released - Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

09/20, Ocean Campus, 1715 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle in the Reservoir parking lot.  A student reported that someone broke his vehicle window and stole several items - Officer Hector reporting.  

09/20, Ocean Campus, 1430 hours - Officers went the Student Union to investigate and earlier fight.  An employee of the college told the officers a weapon was found in the Student Union.  The weapon was a 7-inch double bladed throwing type knife.  It was reported that an man was throwing the knife at a wall in the Student Union -Officer Ngoi reporting.

09/20, Gough Administrative Offices, 1730 hours - An officer responded to a report of two suspicious persons in the building.  The officer searched the building and found a subject matching one of the suspicious persons in the Student Lounge.  A criminal records check of the subject showed the subject had multiple warrants for his arrest.  The subject was taken to County Jail 9 and booked for his outstanding warrants - Officer Gaytan reporting.  

09/20, Mission Campus, 1630 hours - Officers responded to a classroom to assist an instructor with a disruptive student.  The student did not show up - Officer Lopez reporting.

09/20, Ocean Campus, 1428 hours - Officers responded to a Rosenberg Library regarding a fight in progress.  Officers found a student that appeared badly beaten.  An ambulance was called for the student.  A witness told police the student was punched and kicked several times by a large crowd of men.  The student was also robbed after the beating.  The student refused to assist police in their investigation of the incident and also refused assistance from paramedics - Officer Edwards reporting. 

09/20, Ocean Campus, 0835 hours - Officers responded to a report of a fight over a traffic accident in the Reservoir parking lot.  The parties were separated upon officers arriving.  There was no physical altercation but one of the drivers had a suspended license.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and his vehicle was impounded - Officer Ngoi reporting.

09/19, Ocean Campus, 1237 hours-Officers were called to Rosenberg Library on the report of a student threatening another student. Upon arrival, it was found that one student had threatened another student over the use of a computer. One student was cited for disturbing the peace-Officer Edwards reporting.

09/19, Ocean Campus, 1308 hours-Officers were dispatched to the report of a fire on Cloud Plaza. The reportee saw smoldering wood chips on bushes near the Science Building. The San Francisco Fire Department was called, and the fire extinguished. No arson was suspected-Officer Smith reporting.

09/18, Mission Campus, 0910 hours-Officers at the under-construction Mission Campus were flagged down to take a report of a suspicious occurrence. Demonstrators from an earlier demonstration had gotten into an argument with a trade member about hiring practices, and the trade member had thrown his hard hat on the ground-Officer Castillo reporting.

09/16, Ocean Campus, 1155 hours-Officers were dispatched to Rosenberg Library to investigate a report of a male student harassing a female student. The victim was located and identified the person who was harassing her. The suspect was identified, and the report was referred to the Dean of Student Advocacy-Officer Ngoi reporting.

09/15, Ocean Campus, 0930 hours-Officers were dispatched to the Learning Assistance Center in Rosenberg Library to take a report of a suspicious package that had been sent to a staff member. The package contained inappropriate pictures-Officer Edwards reporting.

09/15, Ocean Campus, 1950 hours-Officers on patrol noticed a person pushing a motorcycle up with no lights up Phelan Ave., trying to “push start” it, during the evening hours. Upon contacting the person pushing the motorcycle and a lengthy investigation, it was ascertained that the person was not the owner, but had permission from the owner to be in possession of the bike-Officer Castillo reporting.

09/14, Ocean Campus, 1530 hours-Officers were dispatched on the report of the theft of a purse from Rosenberg Library. Upon investigation, it was found that a student had left her backpack, with wallet by a work station when she left to go to the restroom. Upon leaving the restroom, she came upon the suspect who was carrying her backpack out of the library. The suspect handed her the backpack and fled-Officer Ramirez reporting.

09/14, Alemany Campus, 0840 hours-An officer was dispatched to Alemany Campus to take a report of a theft of a LCD projector from a classroom-Officer Ngoi reporting.

09/14, Alemany Campus, 0840 hours-The officer who took the theft report (above) also took an additional report of the theft of a computer monitor. The monitor was not secured or cabled to a desk. A staff member had seen a suspicious person enter the classroom prior to the monitor being found missing-Officer Ngoi reporting.

09/13, Ocean Campus, 1030 hours-An officer on foot patrol recognized an individual who had been warned to stay off campus due to earlier trespassing issues. The individual was approached and found to have outstanding warrants. Copies of CCSF building keys were found in his possession, and he was booked for possession of stolen property and trespassing-Officer Edwards reporting.

09/13, Ocean Campus, 1715 hours-A student came to the Ocean Campus police station to report the theft of a bicycle. The bike was locked in a rack on the east side of Cloud Hall. When he returned from class, he discovered the bike missing and the cable lock cut off-Officer Hector reporting.

09/13, Ocean Campus, 0900 hours - A student went to the Ocean Campus police station to report her vehicle had been stolen from in front of her house.  The loss was a 2006 Suzuki-Officer Hakes reporting.

09/13, Ocean Campus, 0900 hours - A student went to the Ocean Campus police station to report the theft of a bag containing personal items from her locker in the Visual Arts building.  The student had left her property, and may have forgotten to lock the locker-Officer Hakes reporting.

09/12, Ocean Campus, 0800 hours-An employee came to the Ocean Campus police station and reported that items had been stolen from her locked office. The loss included a wallet with currency and identification-Officer Hakes reporting.

09/12, Ocean Campus, 1200 hours-An employee reported that she had been in a meeting in Batmale Hall and had left her bag containing her wallet outside the meeting room. When she checked her bag sometime after the meeting was concluded, it was discovered that a wallet with credit cards, cash, and identification had been stolen-Officer Milowe reporting.

09/12, Ocean Campus, 1100 hours - A student reported that he had been threatened after asking disruptive students in the classroom to be quiet.  Officers are following up, and a copy of the report was routed to the Dean of Student Advocacy-Officer Hakes reporting.

09/12, Ocean Campus, 1111 hours - An officer on patrol observed a vehicle fail to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk adjacent to the Bookstore Annex.  The officer pursued the vehicle, and upon making a vehicle stop, the driver was arrested for numerous violations-Officer Edwards reporting.

09/11, Ocean Campus, 1428 hours - Officers were dispatched to assist in a medical incident at the Student Union.  A student had fallen and injured her leg and knee after a fall.  Student Health arrived and assisted.  The student did not require an ambulance-Officer Hector reporting.

9/11, Ocean Campus, 1345 hours - An officer was dispatched to take a report from a student who reported that she had been battered in her classroom.  The student reported that she had asked a disruptive student to be quiet, and after class had been pushed to the floor and struck.  The student requested that the matter be referred to the Dean of Student Advocacy for action-Officer Brooks reporting.

09/11, Ocean Campus, 0915 hours - An officer on patrol observed a vehicle fail to stop for pedestrians on Phelan Ave.  Upon speaking with the driver, it was found that he did not have a driver’s license.  The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed-Officer Brooks reporting.

09/10, Ocean Campus, 1500 hours - An officer responded to assist another officer who had a subject detained at 11 Phelan Ave.  The individual was causing a disturbance and loudly swearing at passers-by.  Initial information indicated that the individual had a warrant for his arrest, but it could not be verified.  The individual was released and issued a certificate of detention-Officer Brooks reporting.

09/11, Ocean Campus, 1430 hours - An officer on patrol was approached by a student who reported  that someone had stolen his wallet.  The student reported that he was in the Lunch Box, and placed his backpack on a chair.  He left for a few minutes, and when he returned, discovered his backpack along with the contents were missing-Officer Wong reporting.

09/11, Ocean Campus, 1200 hours - An instructor reported that remnants of burnt paper towels and obscene graffiti had been left in a classroom in Statler Wing.  The classroom had been unlocked and unattended for at least four hours-Officer Hakes reporting.

09/10, District Office, 2050 hours - Officers patrolling district campuses observed people camping in the doorway of 33 Gough.  The doorway is clearly posted with a 25MPC No Trespassing sign, and the person involved had been admonished on numerous occasions.  Officers noted that one individual was in possession of narcotics paraphernalia,  and had 7 outstanding warrants.  Arrests were made and the individual booked at County Jail #9-Officer Edwards reporting.

09/10, Ocean Campus, 1415 hours - Officers on foot patrol noted a subject standing inside the fenced trash area behind the bookstore, with plastic bags around his feet.  The subject was found to be possession of a knife, and was subsequently booked for the charge-Officer Wong reporting.

09/09, Ocean Campus, 1630 hours - A student reported that she was being harassed by someone who had identified himself as a student and who had obtained her telephone number.  The suspect was constantly calling her, even though numerous people had told him to stop.  The suspect was a non-student, who had been admonished not to return to campus-Officer Ramirez reporting.

09/08, Ocean Campus, 1224 hours-Officers were dispatched to the library to assist in helping a student who had fallen and injured her knee.  A nurse responded from Student Health.  An ambulance was called and the person transported to a hospital-Officer Milowe reporting. 

09/07, Ocean Campus, 0820 hours-An officer on patrol observed a vehicle with expired license tabs on Phelan Ave.  Upon contacting the driver, it was found that the driver had a suspended license and numerous other violations.  The driver was cited and the vehicle towed-Officer Edwards reporting. 

09/07, Southeast Campus, 1700 hours-An officer on patrol was approached by a citizen who reported that her vehicle had been broken into on the Oakdale Ave., adjacent to the campus.  The side wing window had been shattered, and various items taken-Officer Fiscal reporting. 

09/06, Ocean Campus, 1340 hours-An officer on patrol observed a vehicle speeding on campus.  Upon contacting the driver, it was discovered that the driver had no license.  The driver was cited and the vehicle towed-Sgt. Seligsohn reporting. 

09/05, Evans Campus, 2030 hours-A student reported that his vehicle, which was part of a vehicle maintenance class, had been vandalized.  Deep scratches to the paint had been made to the side and rear of the vehicle-Officer Hakes reporting. 

09/05, Ocean Campus, 1000 hours - A student went to the Ocean Campus police station to report that his wallet and cellular telephone had been stolen while he played soccer at the football field - Officer Hakes reporting. 

09/05, Ocean Campus, 1130 hours - A student using Rosenberg Library reported that she had left her sunglasses on the desk in a cubicle and left for a few moments.  When she returned, the sunglasses were missing - Officer Hakes reporting. 

09/05, Ocean Campus, 1440 hours - A officer was dispatched to Conlan Hall in reference to a disruptive person.  Upon arrival,  the officer found an elderly women who was clearly confused and unable to care for her own safety.  An ambulance was called and the women transported to a hospital - Officer Brooks reporting. 

09/03, Ocean Campus, 1100 hours-An officer doing routine patrol noticed that the ground floor emergency exit doors had been chained shut with a bicycle lock.  The officer used bolt cutters and removed the lock - Officer Milowe reporting.

09/02, Ocean Campus, 2206 hours - An officer on patrol made a traffic stop of a vehicle that was speeding and made an unsafe lane change.  Upon requesting identification from the driver, it was found that he had a no bail warrant for his arrest.  The driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed - Officer Brooks reporting. 

09/01, Ocean Campus, 1345 hours - A student came to the Ocean Campus police station to report that his vehicle, parked in H lot, had a flat tire, with a screw embedded in the treads.  This was the second flat tire in a week, both in H lot - Officer Ramirez reporting. 

09/01, Ocean Campus, 1000 hours - An officer was dispatched to the south gym to take a report of a theft.  A student had went to class and placed his backpack in an unsecured cubicle while working out.  Upon returning, he discovered that his backpack had been opened and his wallet was missing - Officer Ngoi reporting. 

09/01, Ocean Campus, 1428 hours - An officer was dispatched to the north gym to take a report regarding a theft that had occurred three days prior.  A student had taken her gym bag out to the football field to work out, leaving her bag on the side of the field.  At the completion of her workout, she discovered her wallet missing.
