October 2006

10/31, Ocean Campus, 0905 hours – A sergeant stopped a motorcycle for entering a posted "Do Not Enter" area.  After further investigation, the sergeant discovered that the driver had an expired driver’s license and did not have the proper permit to operate a motorcycle.  The driver was issued a citation and his motorcycle was impounded – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

10/31, Ocean Campus, 0817 hours – An officer was dispatched to Cloud Hall on report of graffiti.  Someone wrote graffiti on several mirrors – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/28, Ocean Campus, 1224 hours – An officer on patrol stopped a person misusing a handicapped placard in the Reservoir parking lot.  The officer issued the student a citation for misusing a disabled placard – Officer Milowe reporting.

10/26, Ocean Campus, 1240 hours – An officer took a counter report regarding a theft.  A disabled student had her wallet stolen while out shopping – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/26, Ocean Campus, 1105 hours – A bicycle patrol officer noticed a car being driven recklessly on Phelan Avenue.  A sergeant nearby assisted with the traffic stop.  The vehicle was pulled over and the driver was issued a misdemeanor citation – Officer Milowe reporting.

10/26, Ocean Campus, 0859 hours – Officers were dispatched to the South Gym on report of vandalism.  When the officers arrived, they were told that new graffiti was found in the men’s bathroom – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/25, Ocean Campus, 1730 hours – While out patrolling at Judson Avenue, an officer stopped a car for failing to stop at the stop sign.  When all information was gathered about the driver, the officer found out that his license was suspended.  The driver was cited and his vehicle was impounded – Officer Brooks reporting.

10/25, Ocean Campus, 0959 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Rosenberg Library on a report of a fire alarm.  After checking the library and determining that there was no fire, the SFFD allowed people to re-enter the building.  Firefighters advised that a lighting malfunction activated the alarm – Officer Brooks reporting.

10/24, Ocean Campus, 1915 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Science Building regarding a medical emergency.  While waiting for the ambulance, the person told the officers he felt sick so the officers escorted him to the paramedics.  The person was transported to the hospital by paramedics – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/24, Ocean Campus, 1045 hours – An officer was dispatched to Batmale Hall to respond to a staff member who collapsed.  The Fire Department and Ambulance arrived and took the employee to the hospital – Officer Smith reporting.

10/24, Downtown Campus, 1000 hours – An officer was dispatched to the library to assist an employee with a suspicious person.  An employee reported a person checking out books using someone else’s ID – Officer Sanchez reporting.

10/24, Ocean Campus, 0916 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Reservoir parking lot to assist a student with a theft.  Upon arrival to the vehicle, the student told the officer that someone stole some personal items from his car while it was parked the reservoir yesterday – Officer Smith reporting.

10/21, Ocean Campus, 2200 hours – While out on patrol on Phelan Avenue, two officers noticed two juveniles skateboarding by the reservoir.  The officers questioned the juveniles and discovered that one of the juveniles was intoxicated – Officer Borrego reporting. 

10/20, Downtown Campus, 1000 hours – An officer was approached regarding a theft.  While working at the Admissions Office, the employee placed her bag on a chair and when she returned to pick it up a while later, it was gone – Officer Sanchez reporting.

10/20, Ocean Campus, 0944 hours – An officer pulled a car over for not making a complete stop on Judson Avenue.  The officer found out that the driver had an expired license.  The driver was issued a citation and the car was impounded – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/19, Ocean Campus, 1725 hours – An officer was dispatched to assist with a counter report regarding a theft.  An employee lost a set of keys while out shopping – Officer Hector reporting.

10/19, Ocean Campus, 1422 hours – While assisting an officer with a traffic stop, a sergeant saw “graffiti tools” inside the car of the person who was pulled over.  After gathering more information, the sergeant discovered that the driver had two warrants for his arrest.  The vehicle was towed and the driver was booked at County Jail Nine for outstanding warrants – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

10/19, Ocean Campus, 0009 hours – An officer was dispatched to Visual Arts on report of vandalism.  The officer spoke with the custodians who found the graffiti in the recently painted bathroom – Officer Alfonso reporting.

10/18, Ocean Campus, 1715 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a stolen vehicle.  A student reported that his vehicle was stolen from a parking lot - Officer Hector reporting.

10/18, Ocean Campus, 1520 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a student who was assaulted in parking lot H.  The student told the officer that the incident happened the day before and started out on a bus. The suspect followed, kicked and yelled at the student – Officer Borrego reporting.

10/18, Ocean Campus, 1505 hours – A counter report was taken about an indecent exposure.  The person said she saw the man who exposed himself to her last year at the Student Union – Officer Hakes reporting.

10/18, Ocean Campus, 1410 hours – An officer was dispatched to the South Gym on report of a theft.  It was reported to the officer that a laptop was taken from the men’s locker room – Officer Hakes reporting.

10/18, Ocean Campus, 1300 hours – An officer was dispatched to take a counter report about a student being harassed.  Before the officer could ask any more questions to further assist, the student left – Officer Smith reporting

10/18, Ocean Campus, 1000 hours – An officer helping a student in the Student Union, discovered that the student had two warrants for her arrest.  The officer arrested the student and booked her at County Jail Nine for outstanding warrants – Officer Edwards reporting

10/18, Ocean Campus, 0958 hours – Officers were approached by a student in the Student Union regarding a possible restraining order violation. Officers assisted the student by contacting SFPD and relaying the information – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/17, Ocean Campus, 1700 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft in the Rosenberg Library.  A student sad that her wallet was stolen from her bag – Officer Burton-Hector reporting.

10/17, Ocean Campus, 1615 hours – An officer assisted a student with a counter report.  The student reported her passport missing – Officer Burton-Hector reporting.

10/17, Ocean Campus, 1130 hours – An officer assisted a student with a counter report.  The student said he lost his cell phone on campus around Batmale Hall – Office Smith reporting.

10/17, Ocean Campus, 0758 hour – An officer was dispatched to the bookstore to assist with a suspicious person sleeping at the reservoir parking lot.  The officer arrested the suspicious person for trespassing on school property and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.  The suspect also had two warrants for his arrest.  The suspect was booked at County Jail Nine – Officer Smith reporting.

10/16, Ocean Campus, 1930 hours – An officer was dispatched to the 200 bungalows to assist a staff member with a theft.  A laptop was taken from a locked office – Officer Milowe reporting.

10/16, Ocean Campus, 1104 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Cafeteria regarding a fight in progress.  Officers arrived to find a student had battered another student.  The paramedics were called to assist the battered student. The other student was issued a citation for battery on school grounds – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/12, Ocean Campus, 1350 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Creative Arts area to assist with a traffic accident.  A food truck accidentally hit a car, causing some damage.  The officer assisted the involved parties with information exchanged – Officer Milowe reporting.

10/12, Ocean Campus, 1349 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Childcare Center to assist with a possible domestic issue.  After an investigation, the officer determined that there was no longer a threat of violence – Officer Milowe reporting.

10/12, Ocean Campus, 1330 hours – An officer assisted with a counter report.  A student said she was threatened with a gun on Judson Avenue.  The incident took place over a parking dispute.  A suspect was identified and later interviewed regarding the incident – Officer Smith reporting. 

10/12, Ocean Campus, 1115 hours – An officer was dispatched to the reservoir parking about a vandalism report.  When the officer arrived, he saw that the vehicle had a window broken and the owner wasn’t sure if anything was taken, but wanted to file a report – Officer Ngoi reporting.

10/11, Ocean Campus, 1455 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Reservoir parking lot on a report of a missing car.  The student reported that when he returned to the reservoir he was unable to locate his car and a stolen vehicle report was made – Officer Ngoi reporting.

10/11, Ocean Campus, 1217 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Student Health Center to assist staff with a mental health detention.  The student was transported to the hospital for observation – Officer Hakes reporting.

10/11, Ocean Campus, 1117 hours – An officer was dispatched to the front of Batmale Hall about a possible battery.  A student told the officer that another student grabbed her backpack and threw it in the bushes. The officer determined that a battery had occurred, but the student declined to press charges – Officer Smith reporting.

10/10, Ocean Campus, 0841 hours – Officers were dispatched to the South Gym on report of graffiti.  Upon arrival, the officers were taken to the locations of the graffiti so that pictures can be taken for evidence – Officer Boyko reporting

10/10, Ocean Campus, 0800 hours - While out on patrol, a sergeant saw a vehicle run a stop sign on Phelan and pulled it over.  During the course of the traffic stop, the sergeant discovered that the driver had a suspended license.  The driver was issued a citation and his vehicle was impounded – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

10/10, Ocean Campus, 1015 hours – An officer was dispatched to the dean’s office about a disruptive student.  After further investigation, the dean advised the officer that the student was no longer enrolled at the college and not welcome on school grounds.  The officer escorted the person off property – Officer Smith reporting.

10/10, Ocean Campus, 1430 hours – A counter report was taken about a car that was missing out of the reservoir.  The officer helped the student by completing the stolen vehicle report – Officer Boyko reporting.

10/10, Ocean Campus, 1545 hours – A counter report was taken regarding theft from the North Gym.  The student said that when he returned to his locker, all the contents were missing – Officer Ramirez reporting

10/10/, Evans Campus, 1800 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Evans Campus to assist with a theft report.  An employee left her bag unattended in an office and came back to find it gone – Officer Gaytan reporting.

10/06, Ocean Campus, 1506 hours – While stopped on the Phelan Avenue, an officer heard what appeared to be an auto accident.  The officer went to the location of the accident to offer assistance.  The officer discovered that one of the drivers did not have his license on him, and later found out that it was suspended.  The officer issued the driver a citation and impounded his vehicle – Officer Ngoi reporting.

10/06, Ocean Campus, 1035 hours – A sergeant observed a vehicle come out of Cloud Circle going the wrong way.  When the sergeant pulled the vehicle over, the driver didn’t have his license on him.  It was later discovered that the driver had an active warrant of arrest out on him. He was arrested and booked at County Jail Nine – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

10/04, Ocean Campus, 2105 hours – An officer was dispatched to Batmale Hall on a vandalism report.  An employee found broken glass all over the floor of a classroom.  A student was identified as a possible suspect in the incident – Officer Torres reporting.

10/04, District Office, 1537 hours – An officer was dispatched to the District office for a vandalism report.  An employee reported that his vehicle was keyed while parked – Officer Borrego reporting.

10/03, Ocean Campus, 2027 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Science Building regarding a person feeling sick.  The officer’s offered to call for emergency help but the student declined – Officer Borrego reporting.

10/03, Ocean Campus, 1711 hours – Officers were dispatched to Marston Road on a report of a theft from vehicle.  An employee of the college told police that someone broke the window of his vehicle and stole his personal property – Officer Wong reporting.

10/03, Ocean Campus, 1345 hours – An officer stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to a pedestrian on Phelan Avenue.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and his vehicle was impounded – Officer Edwards reporting.

10/03, John Adams Campus, 0930 hours – An officer was dispatched to a classroom on report of a theft.  When the officer got there, he was told that the backpack was left behind a public area.  When the owner returned, some personal belongings were taken from a backpack – Officer Lim reporting.

10/03, John Adams Campus, 0700 hours – While on patrol around campus, an officer noticed graffiti on the stairwell walls. The officer took pictures to keep on file – Officer Lim reporting.

10/02, John Adams Campus, 1635 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft.  A student said she left her bag unattended in class and someone stole her wallet – Officer Flood reporting.

10/02, Ocean Campus, 1802 hours – Officers were dispatched to Rosenberg Library on report of a fire alarm. Both SFFD and Police Officers evacuated the building.  Firefighters told Police the smoke detector was activated by someone smoking in the building – Officer Wong reporting.

10/02, Ocean Campus, 1625 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle in the reservoir parking lot.  A student reported that someone stole personal property from his vehicle – Officer Boyko reporting.
