March 2003

03/30, Gough Administrative Offices, 1750 hours - An officer responded to a theft from vehicle in the upper parking lot.  An employee of the college reported that her car stereo was stolen and her car window was broken-Officer Murillo reporting.

03/27, Phelan Campus, 1544 hours - Officers responded to the Rosenberg library on a report of a suicidal person with a razor.  Officers managed to get several razors and a knife away from the subject before anyone was hurt.  It was determined that the subject was a danger to herself and others then taken to San Francisco General Hospital's Psychiatric Emergency Services-Officer Smith reporting.

03/26, Phelan Campus, 1525 hours - An officer on patrol was flagged down on Havelock Street regarding a stolen vehicle.  A college employee said two juveniles stole her maintenance cart.  Officers checked the area for the cart and suspects-Officer Smith Reporting.

03/26, Phelan Campus, 1515 hours - Officers responded to the Rosenberg library regarding a restraining order violation.  Witnesses told police that the suspect was harassing and yelling at the victim a student at the college.  The officer confirmed that the victim had a restraining order against the suspect.  The suspect broke and ran from the officers when they attempted to arrest him.  After a long foot chase, the suspect eluded officers.  The suspect was later detained by a SFPD officer and held for the SFCCD Police.  The suspect was taken to County Jail Nine and booked for multiple violations of a restraining order and delaying police-Officer Murillo reporting.

03/26, Mission Campus, 1000 hours - A teacher reported that a VCR had been stolen from her class room-Officer Lopez reporting.

03/25, Phelan Campus, 2130 hours - A sergeant was flagged down in the North Reservoir parking lot regarding a theft from vehicle.  The victim said his car stereo was stolen-Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

03/25, Phelan Campus, 1255 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a hit and run accident on Phelan Avenue.  A student reported that his car was hit while parked on Phelan Avenue-Officer Ramirez reporting.

03/25, Phelan Campus, 1020 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft in the South Gym.  A student reported that her backpack was stolen from the weight room-Officer Ramirez reporting.

03/24, Phelan Campus, 2030 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft in the South Gym.  A student reported that his bag and wallet were stolen from his locker-Officer Torres reporting.

03/19, Downtown Campus, 1440 hours - An officer responded to a report of a citizen holding a theft suspect.  A student stopped a person she suspected of stealing her purse.  The officer checked the suspect's backpack and found the victim's purse.  The Suspect was booked at County Jail Nine on theft with prior conviction and petty theft-Officer Murillo reporting.

03/13, Phelan Campus, 1635 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft from the Rosenberg library.  A student had his fanny pack stolen while studying-Officer Low reporting.

03/13, Mission Campus, 1245 hours - An officer assisted a student that had his backpack stolen while he was attending class-Officer Lopez reporting.

03/13, Phelan Campus, 1209 hours - The San Francisco Police Department notified the San Francisco Community College District Police of a student that lost his handgun in the Science building.  The student realized his pistol was lost or stolen after attending class-San Francisco Police reporting.

03/12, Phelan Campus, 1300 hours - Officers responded to a fight in Rosenberg Plaza.  The officers broke up the fight between several females.  After further investigation, two of the combatants were issued citations for battery and released-Officer Borrego reporting.

03/12, Phelan Campus, 0905 hours - Officers responded to the Lunch Box on a report of a man dealing drugs.  Officers located and detained the suspected drug dealer.  The suspect was in possession of a small amount marijuana for personal use.  The suspect was issued a citation for possession of marijuana and released-Officer Borrego reporting.

03/06, Gough Administrative Offices, 0750 hours - An officer on patrol noticed a suspicious person in the upper parking lot.  A criminal history check of the subject showed that he was a parole violator with a no-bail warrant for his arrest.  The subject was booked at County Jail Nine for his warrant and possession of syringes-Officer Russo reporting.  

03/05, Southeast Campus, 0230 hours - Officers responded to a silent burglar alarm.  The officers found a suspect inside the building near the front entrance.  The suspect was taken to San Francisco Police Department's Bayview station for further investigation.  The suspect was issued a citation for trespassing and released-Officer Wong reporting.
