January 2005

01/31, Evans Campus, 2125hrs.-Student backing up a vehicle in the vehicle repair area struck and damaged an eyewash station.  Minor damage to vehicle-Officer Ramsey reporting.

01/31, Ocean Campus, 1215hrs.-Counter report.  Student reported he had parked and locked his vehicle on Judson Ave., and when he returned all four tires were flattened-Officer Hector reporting.

01/31, Ocean Campus, 1210hrs.-Counter report.  Student reported that a textbook had been stolen from his backpack while in Smith Hall registering-Officer Hakes reporting.

01/30, Ocean Campus, 1155hrs.-Officer dispatched to Rosenberg Library regarding a vandalism complaint. Public elevator in library had been graffitied.    Photographs taken-Officer Brooks reporting.

01/31, Mission Campus, 1700hrs.-Officer on patrol identified suspicious person who was loitering around the campus and had previously been asked to leave.  Warrant check initially revealed person had two $5000.00 warrants, but warrants were not confirmed.  Person was released-Officer Castillo reporting.

01/30, Ocean Campus, 2242hrs.-Office on patrol noticed window in the 600 bungalow was slightly open.  Upon investigation, saw someone in the bungalow sleeping on a desk.  Officer recognized the person from prior contacts.  Suspect ran, was pursued and placed under arrest.  Suspect transported to CJ#9 for booking-Officer Wong reporting.

01/29, Ocean Campus, 1115hrs.-Officer dispatched to south gym regarding a burglarized locker.  Responding officer found complainant, who reported his locker had been broken into and various items stolen-Officer Milowe reporting.

01/28, Ocean Campus, 1430hrs.-Counter report-Employee reported that certain items had been stolen from child care.   Loss included portable stereo and various tools-Officer Milowe reporting.

01/28, Ocean Campus, 1757hrs.-Officer was dispatched to the north reservoir regarding an auto accident.  Appeared that a moving vehicle had dented a parked car, damaging passenger door-Officer Wong reporting.

01/28, Mission Campus, 0943hrs.-Officer was dispatched to the 3rd floor to meet with instructor regarding disruptive student-Student was escorted off the campus and referred to dean for administrative action-Officer Lopez reporting.

01/26, John Adams, 1730hrs.-Student reported being threatened by other student.  Staff directed them to leave the area.  Officer contacted other student, referred case to dean of students-Officer Flood reporting.

01/26, Ocean Campus, 1124hrs.-Officer dispatched to "A" lot on a report of a vehicle vandalism.  Responding officer talked to student, who reported that vehicle had sustained scratches on hood and door of the vehicle-Officer Ngoi reporting.

01/26, Ocean Campus, 1715hrs.-Counter report.  Employee reported she had parked near the Visual Arts building, and upon return found a note threatening to smash the windows of her vehicle-Officer Hector reporting.

01/25, John Adams, 1045hrs.-Officers on patrol questioned student regarding class attendance.  Student refused to supply information, violating student code of conduct.  Case referred to dean of students-Officer Smela reporting.

01/25, Ocean Campus, 1415hrs.-Officers responded to bookstore annex to take report regarding stolen I-Pods.  Three I-Pods were stolen by person(s) unknown-Officer Hector reporting.

01/24, Downtown Campus, 1815hrs.-Officer responded to noise outside the campus and discovered two students yelling at each other.  One student had struck another student prior to entering class-Officer Bermudez reporting.

01/24, Ocean Campus, 1035hrs.-Counter report.  Student reported her locker in the North Gym locker room was broken into and items stolen-Officer Hakes reporting.

01/24, Ocean Campus, 1235hrs.-Officers dispatched to Student Union on report of person refusing to leave after being told to.  Student was disruptive, but complied with request.  Case referred to dean of students-Officer Brooks reporting.

01/24, Ocean Campus, 0926hrs.-Officers dispatched to call of a battery occurring in the EOPS office.  Suspect had followed student into office and struck her in the back of the head.  Officers took suspect into custody and booked into county jail-Officer Milowe reporting.

01/24, Ocean Campus, 0937hrs.-Student reported to officer on patrol that she had witnessed a purse snatch in Ram Plaza.  Victim was running after suspect towards "H" lot.  Suspect captured by responding officers-Officer Brooks reporting.

01/23, Ocean Campus, 0130hrs.- Officer dispatched to archery field parking lot.  Employee reported that rocks had been thrown at vehicles parked in the lot, causing damage to some vehicles-Officer Sandoval reporting.

01/22, Ocean Campus, 1330hrs.-Officer dispatched to "H" parking lot.  Person reported his rental vehicle had been broken into, and that bag containing property that was on the back seat had been taken-Officer Milowe reporting.

01/21, Ocean Campus, 0955hrs.-Officer on patrol approached by bookstore employee who reported theft of backpack.  Person unknown had represented themselves as backpack owner to staff checking in packages outside the bookstore, and property was mistakenly released-Officer Gaytan reporting.

01/21, Mission Campus, 1015hrs.-Officers called to take the report of a staff injury.  Overhead projection screen fell over and injured employee's thumb-Officer Lopez reporting.

01/21, John Adams, 0730hrs.-Officer notified that person(s) unknown had cut locks on contractors construction boxes and removed equipment.  Various construction tools were found to be missing-Officer Flood reporting.

01/21, Alemany Campus, 1115hrs.-Report filed by campus administration regarding the theft of a TV/VCR combination from a classroom-Officer Gamarra reporting.

01/20, Ocean Campus, 1310 hours-Student reported that her cell and purse were stolen from her backpack while riding a crowded Muni bus on the 45 line-Officer Hakes reporting.

01/20, John Adams, 2008hrs.-Officer contacted by student and informed that a female student was using the men's restroom.  A restroom stall door was vandalized.  Case referred to dean for administrative action-Officer Flood reporting.

01/20, Ocean Campus, 1128 hours-Student reported that his wallet was stolen while in the cafeteria area on campus-Counter report taken-Officer Hakes reporting.

01/20, Ocean Campus, 0939 hours-Officers dispatched to the EOPS building regarding a person refusing to leave and being disruptive.  Person refused to identify and resisted officers, resulting in an arrest-Officer Milowe reporting. 

01/19, Ocean Campus, 1940 hours-Officers dispatched to Rosenberg Library regarding a person who was acting bizarre.  Person was not a student, and had outstanding warrants for his arrest.  During search, drug paraphernalia was found, leading to additional charges-Officer Murillo reporting.

01/18, Ocean Campus, 0915 hours-Officers dispatched to call of couple fighting in parking lot.  One student had minor injuries-referred to Dean of Students-Officer Brooks reporting.

01/18, Ocean Campus, 1055 hours-Citizen flagged down officer and identified person who had tagged a bus with grafitti.  Officer detained person, who admitted tagging bus as well as other items-Sgt. Seligsohn reporting.

01/12, Ocean Campus, 1200 hours-Student reported lost/stolen cellular telephone from Rosenberg Library-Counter report-Officer Hector reporting.

01/11, Southeast Campus, 1350 hours-Officer patrolling campus was called to an office by staff member.  Staff member indicated they needed to talk to a juvenile who should have been in class.  Student was escorted back to class-Officer Fiscal reporting.

01/10, Ocean Campus, 1106 hours-Officer stopped vehicle for running a flashing red stop signal.  Driver cited-Officer Brooks reporting.

01/07, Ocean Campus, 1800 hours-Officer on routine patrol noticed a person walking on the roadway between "B" and "C" parking lot, next to Rosenberg Library.  As the person walked out of the campus, the officer noticed what looked like a small fire in a stack of newsprint adjacent to the building.  The officer was able to extinguish the fire with the vehicle fire extinguisher.   Possible signs of another attempt were located on the opposite side of the building-Officer Milowe reporting.

01/07, District Office, 0145 hours-Officers responding to a silent alarm entered building to find a person sleeping in the restroom.  No sign of forced entry-Suspect cited and released-Officer Russo reporting.

01/05, Ocean Campus, 0845 hours-Employee witnessed white van backing up and striking a parked vehicle.  Driver left scene.  Officers responded and took report-Officer Ngoi reporting.

01/03, Ocean Campus, 1230 hours-Officer stopped vehicle for running a flashing red stop signal.  Driver had a revoked license, vehicle towed-Officer Milowe reporting.

01/01, Ocean Campus, 1400 hours-Officer stopped vehicle for running a flashing red stop signal.  Driver had an expired license.  Vehicle towed-Officer Milowe reporting.
