February 2006

02/28, Ocean Campus, 1305 hours - An officer was dispatched to the Student Union regarding a theft.  An employee reported that several items had been stolen over the past few weeks - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/27, Ocean Campus, 1708 hours - An officer on patrol was approached by a student in the Rosenberg Library regarding a theft.  The student reported that he left his wallet on a desk for a minute and when he returned his wallet was missing - Officer Wong reporting.

02/27, John Adams Campus, 1300 hours - An officer responded to the library regarding a disruptive student.  The officer contacted two subjects causing a disturbance.  One of the subjects was given a trespassing admonition and removed from campus.  The other was referred to the Dean of Students - Officer Apps reporting.

02/24, Ocean Campus, 1250 hours - An officer was dispatched to the Rosenberg Library regarding a theft.  A student said he left his wallet sitting on a desk while he went to make a phone call and when he returned his wallet was missing - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/22, Ocean Campus, 1845 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a stolen bicycle from in front of the Rosenberg Library.  A student said his bicycle and lock were stolen while he was in the library - Officer Hakes reporting.

02/21, John Adams Campus, 2030 hours - Officers responded to a report of a hit and run.  A student reported she was struck by a dark green vehicle in the student parking lot.  The student was complaining of hip pain and was transported to the hospital - SFPD reporting.

02/21, Ocean Campus, 1500 hours - Officers responded to the Student Union on a report of a robbery.  A student said he was beaten and stomped on Ocean Avenue at Howth Street by two suspects.  After the suspects finished beating the student, they robbed him.  The student ran to campus and called police.  A description of the suspects was given to SFPD and BART PD.  Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspects.  The student was taken to the hospital by a parent - Officer Borrego reporting.   

02/21, Alemany Campus, 1400 hours - A counter report was taken regarding gang graffiti found in a restroom - Officer Gamarra reporting.

02/20, Ocean Campus, 1422 hours - A Counter report was taken regarding a theft attempt in the Reservoir Parking lot.  A student said her vehicle was broken into the previous day but nothing was taken from the vehicle - Officer Smith reporting.

02/16, Southeast Campus, 1445 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft.  An employee reported that a projector was stolen from a classroom.  The projector was stolen sometime during the previous week - Officer Fiscal reporting.

02/16, Ocean Campus, 1230 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a battery at the Student Union.  A student said he was pushed by another person but refused to identify the person of press charges - Officer Hakes reporting.

02/16, Ocean Campus, 1000 hours - A police officer stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to a blind person with a white cane.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and released - Officer Milowe reporting.

02/15, Ocean Campus, 1800 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a disturbance in the Science Building.  A student told police that the day before her ex-boyfriend entered her classroom and began screaming.  The ex-boyfriend screamed and yelled at the student than broke her phone - Officer Hector reporting.

02/15, Ocean Campus, 1415 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft at 255 Third Street.  An instructor reported that his vehicle was broken into while parked at a downtown garage.  Several items were taken - Officer Hector reporting.

02/15, Ocean Campus, 0817 hours - A police officer was dispatched to the Child Care Center regarding a burglary.  An employee said some items had been stolen during the night.  Police officers had already searched the building earlier that morning, after responding to a burglar alarm.  Police did not locate a suspect and they could not determine if anything was stolen.  The burglar entered through an unlocked window - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/15, Ocean Campus, 0930 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft in Ram Plaza.  An employee of the college reported that a jacket he placed on  ground was stolen while he worked - Officer Hakes reporting.

02/15, John Adams Campus, 0820 hours - An officer responded to a classroom on a suspicious occurrence report.  An instructor reported that she received a call from a person claiming they broke a window in the classroom two weeks ago and they will do more damage next time - Officer Russo reporting.

02/14, Ocean Campus, 1055 hours - Officers were dispatched to the Arts Extension Building regarding a student fighting with an instructor.  Officers arrived and determined the incident was not criminal. The student was sent to the Dean of Students - Officer Smith reporting.

02/13, Downtown Campus, 1345 hours - An officer responded to the bookstore regarding a person attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 dollar bill.  The suspect was detained and the $100 dollar bill was determined to be counterfeit - Officer Bermudez reporting.

02/13, John Adams Campus, 0900 hours - An officer on patrol spotted new graffiti spray painted on the outside of the building - Officer Apps reporting. 

02/12, Ocean Campus, 1715 hours - An officer was dispatched to Cloud Circle on a report of a theft from vehicle.  A student reported that her vehicle was broken into while it was parked in the Reservoir Parking Lot.  The thieves stole several items from her trunk - Officer Wong reporting.

02/12, Ocean Campus, 1517 hours - Officers responded to the Rosenberg Library on a report of an indecent exposure.  Responding officers detained a suspect leaving the library.  The suspect was later released because the victim could not be located - Officer Castillo reporting.

02/11, Ocean Campus, 1200 hours - An officer was dispatched to the South Gym regarding a theft.  A student said he locked his belongings in a locker and when he returned the lock and his belongings were missing - Officer Brooks reporting.

02/11, Downtown Campus, 0812 hours - An officer spotted a suspicious subject entering the building.  The subject became agitated when confronted by the officer and back-up units responded to assist.  The subject was detained and a criminal history check showed he was on parole.  The subject's backpack contained keys, card keys, screw drivers and pliers.  After officers contacted the subject's parole officer, they found out he was wanted for a parole violation.  The subject was taken to county jail and booked for possession of burglary tools and his parole violation - Officer Bermudez reporting.

02/10, Ocean Campus, 1334 hours - An officer stopped a vehicle on Phelan Avenue for making an illegal left turn.  The driver of the vehicle had an expired driver's license.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and his vehicle was impounded - Officer Torres reporting.

02/10, Ocean Campus, 1204 hours - Officers responded to the bookstore regarding a person attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 dollar bill.  The suspect was detained and the $100 dollar bill was determined to be counterfeit - Officer Milowe reporting.

02/10, Ocean Campus, 1045 hours - Officers responded to a report of a student on the ground near the Arts Extension building.  The student was unconscious and an ambulance was called immediately.  The school nurse performed CPR until the paramedics arrived.  The student was taken to the hospital and later passed away - Officer Ngoi reporting.

02/09, Ocean Campus, 1048 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a parking dispute in the Reservoir Parking Lot.  A student said she was in a verbal altercation with a subject.  The student said the subject became abusive over her bumping the subject's vehicle with her car door - Officer Hakes reporting.

02/09, Ocean Campus, 1001 hours - An officer on patrol was flagged down in Parking Lot A regarding a stolen laptop computer.  A student said she put down her computer while she used the ATM.  The student said she realized her computer was missing a few minutes later.  The officer searched the area for the computer with negative results - Officer Milowe Reporting.

02/08, Ocean Campus, 1750 hours - An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to a pedestrian on Phelan Avenue.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license.  The driver of the vehicle was issued a misdemeanor citation and his vehicle was impounded - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/08, Ocean Campus, 1342 hours - Officers responded to the front of the Horticulture Building regarding a student on the ground.  Officers found the student incoherent.  A Sergeant on scene immediately called for an ambulance.   A school nurse monitored the student until paramedics arrived.  The student had been smoking methamphetamine and marijuana.  The student was transported to the hospital by paramedics - Officer Ngoi reporting.

02/08, Ocean Campus, 1214 hours - Officers responded to a report of a fire in front of the Rosenberg Library.  There was a fire in a garbage can.  A student officer responded with a fire extinguisher and put out the fire - Officer Ngoi reporting.

02/08, Ocean Campus, 1145 hours - A Sergeant stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to a pedestrian on Phelan Avenue.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and his vehicle was impounded - Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

02/08, Ocean Campus, 1113 hours - An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Cloud Circle for failing to yield to a pedestrian.  The driver of the vehicle honked and yelled at the pedestrian as she drove through the crosswalk forcing the pedestrian to jog out of the way.  The driver was issued a citation and released - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/08, Ocean Campus, 0830 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a pickpocket.  A student said she felt someone touch her backpack but when she turned around the person was walking away.  The student realized later her wallet was missing - Officer Hakes reporting.

02/08, John Adams Campus, 0700 hours - An officer on patrol spotted several new acts of graffiti in a men's bathroom - Officer Apps reporting.

02/07, John Adams Campus, 0820 hours - Officers responded to a report of a fight between a man and a woman in the student parking lot.  Officers located a woman who said she was attacked by her ex-husband.  The woman told police her husband was waiting for her at school and attacked her as she exited her vehicle.  The suspected domestic abuser left the area before police arrived.  The case was turned over to SFPD's Domestic Violence Unit - Officer Russo reporting.

02/07, Ocean Campus, 0845 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a suspicious occurrence near the cafeteria.  A student said that he was approached by a person asking for a loan.  The student said the person offered to payback double the loan.  The student thought the offer was suspicious and left - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/06, Ocean Campus, 1722 hours - An officer was dispatched to the South Gym regarding a theft.  A student said his backpack was stolen from his locker - Officer Wong reporting.

02/06, Ocean Campus, 1635 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft in the EOPS office.  A student said he left his backpack unattended for about an hour and when he returned it was missing - Officer Hector reporting.

02/06, Ocean Campus, 1230 hours - An officer was dispatched to Cloud Circle regarding a hit and run accident that happened three day prior.  A student said her vehicle was hit while it was parked on Edna Street - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/04, Ocean Campus, 1250 hours - An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in the Reservoir Parking Lot.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and his vehicle was impounded - Officer Milowe reporting.

02/03, Ocean Campus, 1446 hours - An officer was dispatched to the South Gym regarding a theft.  A student said he put his wallet in a locker and when he returned from class his wallet was missing - Officer Ngoi reporting.

02/03, Ocean Campus, 0857 hours - An officer stopped a vehicle for running a red light.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver's license.  The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation and her vehicle was impounded - Officer Milowe reporting.

02/02, Alemany Campus, 2155 hours - An officer on patrol spotted a person sleeping on the sidewalk in Willow Alley.  The officer identified the subject and found out he had a no-bail warrant for his arrest.  The officer found a crack pipe while taking the subject into custody.  The subject was booked at County Jail Nine for possession of narcotics paraphernalia and his outstanding warrant - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/02, Ocean Campus, 1330 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a vandalism to vehicle on Phelan Avenue.  An unknown witness called and reported a man jumping on top of a car parked on Phelan Ave.  Officers responded and found the car with a broken windshield and rear window but no suspect was in the area.  Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and advised her of the incident - Officer Hakes reporting.

02/01, Ocean Campus, 1431 hours - Officers responded to the campus bookstore on a report of a person trying to pass counterfeit $100 bill.  Officers arrived and arrested the suspect.  The $100 bill was counterfeit.  The suspect was booked at County Jail Nine for fraud - Officer Edwards reporting.

02/01, Ocean Campus, 1430 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle in the Reservoir Parking Lot.  A student said someone stole several items from his vehicle while he attended class - Officer Hakes reporting.
