December 2006

12/30, Ocean Campus, 0830 hours – An officer stopped a vehicle on Market Street for expired registration.  The officer determined that the driver had a suspended license.  The officer issued a citation and impounded the vehicle – Officer Fiscal reporting.

12/23, Ocean Campus, 2335 hours – An officer assigned to a field sobriety checkpoint on Lombard Street, stopped a suspected drunk driver.  After a series of field sobriety tests, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence.  The driver was transported to County Jail and his car was impounded – Officer Edwards reporting.

12/20, Ocean Campus, 1341 hours – Officers were dispatched to a report of a disruptive person in the Rosenberg Library.  Officers located the disruptive person.  Staff and students complained about the subject present and past behavior.  After it was determined the subject was not a student, he was given a trespassing admonishment and removed from campus – Officer Smith reporting.

12/20, Ocean Campus, 0951 hours – Officers were dispatched to Cloud Hall regarding a person having a seizure.  There was a nurse on scene that requested an ambulance.  The student was taken to the hospital by SFFD paramedics – Officer Ngoi reporting.

12/20, Ocean Campus, 0916 hours – Officers were dispatched to a report of an employee on the floor in the Rosenberg library.  The employee was not feeling well and passed out.  The employee refused an ambulance but had a friend transport her to the hospital – Officer Smith reporting.

12/14, De Avila Campus, 1910 hours – An officer was flagged down regarding a stolen vehicle.  An employee reported someone stole his vehicle that was parked on Waller Street.  The employee also realized someone stole his car keys from his jacket and might have used them to steal his car – Officer Gaytan reporting.

12/14, Ocean Campus, 1053 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Arts Extension building regarding harassing phone calls.  An instructor reported that he received several phone calls from an anonymous person – Officer Smith reporting.

12/14, Ocean Campus, 0945 hours – An officer was dispatched to parking lot K to assist a student several flat tires.  Upon further investigating, the incident turned out to be vandalism.  The incident was most likely domestic violence related – Officer Ngoi reporting.

12/13, Ocean Campus, 2100 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Reservoir parking lot regarding a stolen vehicle.  A student told police that his vehicle was stolen while he attended class – Officer Borrego reporting.

12/13, Ocean Campus, 1537 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Creative Arts building after receiving a report of a naked person in the men’s room.  The officers found a partial clothed subject in the restroom.  The subject was behaving oddly and the officers determined the person was in need of medical attention.  The subject was taken to the hospital for treatment – Officer Hector reporting.

12/12, Ocean Campus, 1430 hours – An officer took a counter report regarding a theft in the Rosenberg Library.  A student said she left her laptop unattended.  She later realized her laptop was missing – Officer Hector reporting.

12/12, Ocean Campus, 0840 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Student Health Center regarding a student that fell.  The student told the officer he fell down some stairs in Cloud Hall – Officer Smith reporting.

12/11, Downtown Campus, 1730 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft.  An employee told the officer her purse was stolen while she attended a function – Officer Bermudez reporting.

12/11, Ocean Campus, 1507 hours – An officer was dispatched to a classroom in Cloud Hall regarding a prior incident.  A student told police he saw a suspect that was bothering him in the bathroom on 11-27-2006.  Officers located and identified the suspect.  The suspect was also given a trespassing admonishment and told to leave campus – Officer Wong reporting.

12/11, Ocean Campus, 1010 hours – An officer on foot patrol stopped a car for running a stop sign on Cloud Circle.  The officer also determined that the car had a false registration sticker.  The car was impounded and driver was issued a citation then released – Officer Brooks reporting.

12/09, Ocean Campus, 1610 hours – An officer responded to a report of a suspicious person in the Rosenberg Library.  A student told police a man was following her and acting weird.  Officers detained the suspicious man.  It was later determined that no crime occurred and the man was released and told to leave campus – Officer Borrego reporting.

12/08, Ocean Campus, 1135 hours – An officer took a counter report about a theft that occurred in the Rosenberg Library.  A student said he left his bag unattended and when he returned several valuable items were missing from the bag – Officer Milowe reporting.

12/08, Ocean Campus, 1028 hours – An officer took a counter report about a vandalism to a car in the Reservoir Parking Lot.  The student reported that when he returned to his vehicle, he found his window broken – Officer Torres reporting.

12/07, Ocean Campus, 1615 hours – An officer was dispatched to the reservoir regarding a vandalism.  The student the said that someone kicked her car while it was parked – Officer Ramirez reporting.

12/07, Evans Campus, 0905 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Evans Campus to assist with a trespasser.  The woman was found to be a danger to herself and others and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for a mental health evaluation – Officer Ngoi reporting.

12/06, Ocean Campus, 1601 hours – Two officers saw a man brandishing a gun on Fulton Street.  People began running at the sight of the gun.  The suspect did not see the officers behind him.  One officer snuck up behind the suspect and grabbed the gun from the suspect’s hand.   The officer quickly determined the gun was actually a realistic looking BB gun.  The suspect was issued a citation for air gun possession and his gun was taken as evidence – Officer Borrego reporting.

12/06, Ocean Campus, 0950 hours – An officer took a counter report about a robbery on the Ocean Avenue pedestrian overpass.  A student said he was robbed five days prior while walking home.  The student said three men attacked him; one suspect punched him while two others held his arms then one suspect took the students I-POD – Officer Ngoi reporting.

12/05, Southeast Campus, 1541 hours – An officer responded to the front of campus regarding numerous shots fired.  The officer arrived at the same time as two SFPD units.  According to a witness, a shootout had occurred on Phelps Street in front of the Southeast Daycare Center.  The shootout was between people attended a funeral reception at the Southeast Community Center and an unknown suspect on a bicycle.  There was a report that one of the armed suspects fled into campus and was possibly hiding in the administration office. The officer and SFPD evacuated the Southeast Campus as well as conducted a search for the armed suspect.  No suspects were located in this incident.  There were no reports of injuries but several innocent people had their vehicle stuck with bullets – Officer Fiscal reporting.

12/04, John Adams Campus, 2022 hours – An officer on foot patrol assisted a victim of a robbery on Masonic Street.  The victim said he was at a cafe on Hayes St when two men stole his laptop computer.  The victim chased the suspects and was physically attacked.  The officer radioed SFPD regarding the incident, including a suspect description and direction of travel.  SFPD units arrested one of the suspects several blocks away.  The victim’s property was returned to him.  A second victim’s property was also recovered.  An SFPD Robbery Inspector took over the investigation – Officer Flood reporting.

12/02, Ocean Campus, 1350 hours – An officer stopped a car for driving unsafe on Phelan Avenue.  The officer determined that the driver had a suspended license and was driving without any insurance.  The driver was cited and the vehicle was impounded – Officer Brooks reporting.

12/02, Ocean Campus, 1330 hours – An officer was dispatched to the North Gym to take a report of a theft.  An employee reported her personal property – Officer Brooks reporting.

12/01, Ocean Campus, 1207 hours – An officer took a counter report regarding a student that is being threatened by another student – Officer Ngoi reporting.

12/01, Ocean Campus, 1134 hours – An officer cited a driver for driving in the wrong way on a one way street.  The officer also took a disabled placard from the driver after finding out that he was not his – Officer Milowe reporting.
