Here are a few excerpts from the San Francisco Community College Police Log and Police reports filed with1 the SFCCD Police Department. This log represents a synopsis of reportable events. Hundreds of routine calls for service, assistance and student conduct violations which do not result in police reports are omitted.

June 2008

07-23-08, 1145 hrs, Ocean Campus/Cloud Circle, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for tailgating.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Edwards reporting.

07-18-08, 1354 hrs, 50 Phelan Avenue, Unlicensed Driver
An officer stopped a vehicle that was blocking a handicapped ramp.  The driver of the vehicle did not have a license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was towed – Officer Boyko reporting.

07-16-08, 1651 hrs, Ocean Campus/Rosenberg Library, Aided Case
An officer responded to a report of a sick student.  The officer arrived and called and ambulance.  The student was transported to the hospital by paramedics – Officer Boyko reporting.

07-16-08, 0700 hrs, Ocean Campus/Maintenance Shops, Vandalism
An employee reported that someone dented and broke a window in his work van – Officer Edwards reporting.

07-14-08, 1027 hrs, 441 Judson Avenue, Vandalism
A student told police she saw another student vandalize her vehicle.  Officers located the suspect and he admitted to damaging the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect was arrested and released with a citation – Officer Edwards reporting.

07-14-08, 0920 hrs, Downtown Campus, Suspicious Occurrence
An officer was told by an instructor that there was a potentially suicidal person in class.  The officer spoke with the student and determined that he was not a danger to himself or others – Officer Sanchez reporting.

07-14-08, 0905 hrs, Evans Campus, Theft
A report was taken regarding the theft of two missing storm drain grates – Campus Control Aide Byrne reporting.

07-13-08, 1153 hrs, 33 McCoppin Street, Stolen Vehicle/Wanted Person
An officer spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in the loading dock of the Gough Street Administrative Offices.  There was a subject sleeping in the passenger seat. The officer checked the vehicle and it was reported stolen in a carjacking.  The officer detained the subject.  The subject was wanted for carjacking and attempted rape in Daly City.  The Daly City Police Department was advised.  The car and the suspect were turned over to Daly City Police – Officer Adams reporting.

07-11-08, 1356 hrs, 1400 Ocean Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

07-11-08, 1118 hrs, 11 Phelan Avenue, Warrant Arrest
An officer stopped a vehicle not having license plates.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  A records check of the driver showed a $5000 warrant for his arrest.  The driver was booked at county jail and his vehicle was towed – Officer Boyko reporting.

07-11-08, 0931 hrs, Ocean Campus/Stadium, Theft
A person running on the track reported that someone stole his backpack which was left unattended – Officer Smith reporting.

07-10-08, 1259 hrs, Ocean Campus/Cloud Plaza, Battery
A student said he was verbally harassed and physically attacked by two other students after class – Officer Smith reporting.

07-10-08, 1038 hrs, 50 Phelan Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

07-07-08, 1445 hrs, Ocean Campus, Bungalow 700, Battery
Officers responded to a report of a fight.  A juvenile attacked another juvenile after a class – Officer Hector reporting.

07-03-08, 1640 hrs, Ocean Campus, Lost property
A student reported that he lost his wallet somewhere on campus – Officer Wong reporting.

A student reported that her vehicle was vandalized while she attended class.  Someone made marks with a red marker on her vehicle – Officer Sandoval reporting.

07-01-08, 1110 hrs, Ocean Campus/Batmale 722, Theft
An employee reported that someone entered her unlocked office and stole her wallet – Officer Hakes reporting. 

07-01-08, 1100 hrs, Ocean Campus/EOPS, Lost Property
An employee reported that she lost college property – Officer Smith reporting.

June 2008

06-30-08, 1624 hrs, Ocean Campus/700 Bungalows, Weapon Possession
An officer on patrol was flagged down by three people.  They pointed to a suspect walking away and told the officer he pulled a knife on them.  The officer stopped the suspect and secured a large folding buck style knife.  The suspect allegedly brandished the knife after an argument.  The suspect was taken to a juvenile detention facility and issued a citation for possession of a weapon on school grounds – Officer Fiscal reporting.

06-30-08, 1406 hrs, 11 Phelan Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver of the vehicle was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

06-30-08, 1621 hrs, Ocean Campus/Bungalow 716, Aided Case
An officer responded to a report of a student feeling ill.  A school nurse arrived prior to the officer.  The nurse assisted the student – Officer Wong reporting.

06-30-08, 0840 hrs, Ocean Campus/Maintenance Shop, Theft
A college employee reported that someone entered his work vehicle and stole tools from it – Officer Hakes reporting.

06-29-08, 1750 hrs, Ocean Campus/North Gym, Suspicious Occurrence
An officer responded an anonymous call reporting a possible burglary in progress and described a possible suspect vehicle.  The officer responded to the gyms but could not locate the vehicle or suspects.  The officer started to patrol the neighborhood and located the described vehicle on
Paulding Avenue.  The officer identified the two individuals in the vehicle but he could not determine if a crime had occurred.  Both individuals were released – Officer Fiscal reporting.

06-29-08, 1450 hrs, 799 Ocean Avenue, Expired License
An officer stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way on Howth Street.  The driver had an expire license.  The vehicle was impounded and the driver was issued a Citation – Officer Adams reporting.

06-27-08, 1038 hrs, Ocean Campus/O.H. Hill, Alcohol School Grounds
Officers responded to a report of several subjects drinking alcohol.  Officers found about seven subjects drinking in the bushes.  All of them ran when they spotted police.  Officers managed to catch and detain four of the subjects, three of which turned out to be juveniles.  All of the subjects were intoxicated.  The three juveniles were brought to a juvenile facility and issued citations for drinking on campus.  The adult was issued a citation and released – Officer Adams reporting. 

06-26-08, 1737 hrs, Ocean Campus/Health Center, Theft
A student reported that his bicycle was stolen while he attended class – Officer Smith Reporting.

06-26-08, 1405 hrs, Ocean Campus/Maintenance Shop, Theft
An employee reported that a suspect entered two college vehicles and stole items – Officer Hakes reporting.

06-24-08, 1210 hrs, Ocean Campus/Batmale Hall, Burglary
An employee reported that someone entered her locked office and stole personal property – Officer Smith reporting.

06-23-08, 1440 hrs, Ocean Campus/Maintenance Shop, Theft
An employee reported that someone stole property from his work vehicle over the weekend – Officer Hector reporting.

06-21-08, 1515 hrs, Ocean Campus/Batmale Hall 2nd, Burglary
An officer responded to a report of a broken window.  The window was broken by a suspected burglar.  The burglary took computers and monitors – Officer Flood Reporting.

06-21-08, 1827 hrs, Ocean Campus/Parking Lot K, Stolen Vehicle Recovered
An officer spotted a suspicious unoccupied vehicle.  The officer ran the license plate and it came back stolen out of
San Francisco.  The vehicle was towed because the officer was unable to contact the owner of the vehicle – Officer Wong reporting.

06-18-08, 1636 hrs, Ocean Campus/Rosenberg R207, Disruptive Student
Officer responded to a report of a irate student.  The student was being verbally abusive to staff in the Learning Assistance Lab.  The student was asked to leave and the incident was referred to the Dean of Students –Officer Ramirez reporting.

06-18-08, 1400 hrs, Ocean Campus/Reservoir, Theft
A student reported that someone entered his vehicle and stole his backpack – Officer Hector reporting.

06-16-08, 1800 hrs, Ocean Campus, Lost property
A person reported that they lost a cellular somewhere on campus – Officer hector reporting.

06-15-08, 1036 hrs, 799 Ocean Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at the red light at Ocean Avenue and Howth Street.  The vehicle almost struck a vehicle leaving the
Wellness Center.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

06-13-08, 1730 hrs, 180 Phelan Avenue, Stolen Vehicle Recovered
An officer doing traffic enforcement on Phelan Avenue spotted a vehicle with no license plate speeding down
Phelan Avenue.  The vehicle appeared to accelerate once it passed the officer.  The officer caught up to the vehicle and stopped it.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  A records check showed the driver also had a warrant for her arrest.  There was a passenger in the vehicle that had over $30,000 in warrants.  The vehicle also came back stolen out of San Francisco.  A search of the car turned up several pipes used to smoke narcotics and several stolen credit cards.  Both the driver and passenger were booked at county jail on multiple charges – Officer Adams reporting.     

06-13-08, 1000 hrs, Evans Campus, Suspicious Occurrence
An instructor told police that he thinks someone attempted to start a forklift and damaged the ignition – Officer Adams reporting.

06-11-08, 0100 hrs, Ocean Campus/Reservoir, Attempted Burglary
An officer on patrol noticed the fence leading to the construction site had been cut.  The officer checked the area and apparently interrupted a burglary in progress.  The officer did not locate any suspects – Officer Fiscal reporting.

06-09-08, 0735 hrs, Ocean Campus/Cloud Circle, Property Damage
An employee of the college reported that he vehicles tire was damaged.  A damaged parking control device punctured her tire – Officer Adams reporting.

06-05-08, 1000 hrs, Ocean Campus/Reservoir, Property Damage
An employee of the college reported that a ticket machine was damaged by a construction vehicle – Officer Adams reporting.

06-04-08, 1636 hrs, 50 Phelan Avenue, Expired License
An officer stopped a vehicle for disobeying a traffic sign.  The driver of the vehicle had an expired license.  The driver was issued a citation and his car was impounded – Officer Ramirez reporting.

06-04-08, 1315 hrs, 999 Ocean Avenue, Suspended license
An officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Edwards reporting.

06-03-08, 1159 hrs, 50 Phelan Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for a cracked windshield.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver also had a warrant for his arrest.  The driver was booked at county jail and his vehicle was impounded – Officer Boyko Reporting.

06-03-08, 1145 hrs, Downtown/Rm 515C, Disruptive Student
An officer responded to a report a fight between students.  The altercation was over printer paper and was only verbal – Officer Sanchez reporting.

06-02-08, 1337 hrs, 299 Phelan Avenue, Warrant Arrest
An officer stopped a vehicle for having a cracked windshield.  The driver of the vehicle had several warrants for his arrest totaling over $115,000 dollars.  The driver was taken into custody.  Officers also found several used hypodermic needles, methamphetamine and a pipe for smoking methamphetamine.  The driver was booked at county jail for his warrants and multiple other charges – Officer Adams reporting.

05-30-08, 1245 hrs, Ocean Campus/Reservoir, Vandalism
The motorcycle training program reported new graffiti on their storage container – Officer Ngoi reporting.

05-30-08, 1215 hrs, Ocean Campus/Football Stadium, Theft
A person jogging on the track reported that a man stole her bag.  The victim left her bag unattended on the side of the track – Officer Adams reporting.

05-28-08, 1313 hrs, Gough District Offices, Fraud
An employee reported that someone attempted to cash a fraudulent college check.  The officer identified a suspect and forwarded the case to an inspector – Officer Ngoi reporting.

05-27-08, 1010 hrs, 799 Ocean Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for running a red light.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested then released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Edwards reporting.

05-25-08, 1200 hrs, Ocean Campus/North Gym, Controlled Substance Offence
An officer on patrol spotted two subjects loitering in the area of the gyms.  When the officer approached the subjects they jumped into a vehicle and tried to leave the area.  The officer stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation.  The driver had an expired license.  There was an open container of alcohol in center console.  The driver also was in possession of a bindle of methamphetamine and a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.  The driver was booked at county jail on multiple charges.  The passenger was issued a citation for open container and released.  The car was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

05-23-08, 1428 hrs, Ocean Campus, Rosenberg 4th floor, Aided Case
Officers responded to a report of a student bleeding from the nose.  The bleeding could not be controlled and an ambulance was called.  The student was transported to the hospital by paramedics – Officer Boyko reporting.

05-23-08, 1400 hrs, Ocean Campus/Reservoir, Suspicious vehicle
An officer stopped a vehicle for no break lights.  The officer discovered the license plate was fraudulent.  It appeared the driver of the vehicle was the victim of an internet scam.  The license plates were confiscated and the driver was released pending further investigation – Officer Adams reporting.

05-22-08, 1213 hrs, 100 Phelan Ave, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for a cracked windshield.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

05-22-08, 1153 hrs, Ocean Campus/South Science Lot, Aided Case
Officers responded to a report of an injured person.  The subject fell down some stairs and injured her face.  An ambulance was called and the subject was transported to the hospital – Officer Smith reporting.

05-22-08, 1121 hrs, Ocean Campus/Student Union 2nd Floor, Theft
A student reported that someone stolen her word processor while she took a nap.  The theft occurred in April – Officer Smith Reporting.

05-20-08, 1320 hrs, Mission Campus Rm 174, Theft
An employee reported that her wallet was stolen from her unattended purse – Officer Gamarra reporting.

05-19-08, 0900 hrs, Ocean Campus/Wellness Center, Theft
A contractor reported that a large tool box was stolen sometime over the last month – Officer Edwards reporting.

05-17-08, 1050 hrs, 799 Ocean Avenue, Expired License
An officer stopped a vehicle for making an illegal u-turn.  The driver of the vehicle had an expired license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting

05-16-08, 1645 hrs, Ocean Campus, Sexual Battery
Police officers responded to a report of a sexual battery.  The suspect left the area prior to officers arriving – Officer Wong reporting.

05-15-08, 1350 hrs, 70 Phelan Avenue, Expired License
An officer stopped to investigate a vehicle parked in a fire lane.  The driver of the vehicle had an expired license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

05-15-08, 1300 hrs, Ocean Campus/Wellness Center 307, Theft
A student reported her wallet was stolen from her unattended jacket during class – Officer Adams reporting.

05-15-08, 0905 hrs, Ocean Campus/Reservoir, Probation Violation
An officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration.  The driver of the vehicle did not own the vehicle and was on probation for armed robbery.  The vehicle was impounded for expired registration and the driver was issued a citation and released – Officer Adams reporting.

A faculty member reported an offensive flyer that had been posted – Officer Edwards reporting.

05-13-08, 1146 hrs, Ocean Campus/Wellness Center Plaza, Lost property
A student reported she lost her cellular phone – Officer Boyko reporting.

05-12-08, 1659 hrs, Ocean Campus/Rosenberg Library, Aided Case
An officer responded to a report of a student having breathing trouble.  Student Health arrived and assisted the student – Officer Wong reporting.

05-12-08, 1040 hrs, 180 Phelan Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for blocking a bus zone.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Edwards reporting.

05-12-08, 1005 hrs, Ocean Campus/EOPS, Trespassing
Officers responded to a report of a suspended student returning to campus.  The student was known to police and arrested.  Due to the students continued trespassing offenses he was taken to county jail and booked – Officer Adams reporting.

05-11-08, 1400 hrs, Ocean Campus/Reservoir, Suspended License/alcohol/drugs
An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding.  Driver of the vehicle became belligerent when question about the status of his license.  The officer noticed the smell of marijuana and alcohol coming from the vehicle.  After arresting the driver for his suspended license, the officer found an open can of beer, open bottle of tequila, a marijuana pipe and a bag of marijuana.  The driver was booked at county jail on multiple charges – Officer Adams reporting.

05-10-08, 1035 hrs, Ocean Campus/Science 136, Aided Case
Officers responded to a report of an unconscious employee.  The officer requested an ambulance.  The employee was taken to the hospital by paramedics – Officer Adams reporting.

05-08-08, 1600 hrs, Ocean Campus/Bookstore, Aided Case
An officer responded to a report of a person down outside of the bookstore.  A student said she tripped and fell while walking.  An ambulance was called and the student was transported to the hospital – Officer Wong reporting.

05-08-08, 1352 hrs, Ocean Campus/North Med Lot, Fire
SFFD and police responded to a report of a fire in a tree.  The tree had to be cut down in order to put out the fire burning inside – Officer Smith reporting.

05-08-08, 1210 hrs, 1015 Ocean Street, Warrant Arrest
A citizen flagged down a police officer regarding a student trying to start fights with random people on the street.  The officer found the student who was combative and extremely intoxicated.  The officer detained the student.  The student had a warrant for his arrest.  The student was booked at county jail on his warrant – Officer Adams reporting.

05-08-08, 0851 hrs, Ocean Campus/Childcare Lot, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for tinted side windows.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The officer also detected the smell of marijuana in the vehicle.  A small bag of marijuana was found in the ashtray of the vehicle.  The driver was arrested for the suspended license and possession of marijuana then released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting. 

05-07-08, 2014 hrs, Ocean Campus/Creative Arts 310, Trespassing
Officers responded to a report of a disruptive student.  An instructor said the student was already removed from class and was not supposed to be in class.  The student became belligerent when asked to leave.  The student also refused to leave when asked by police.  Officers arrested the student when after he refused to leave campus.  The student was booked at county jail – Officer Boyko reporting.

05-06-08, 0915 hrs, Southeast Campus, Suspicious Occurrence
A student felt threatened by the presence of a non-student on campus.  The student told police the non-student was associated with a suspended student - Officer Lopez reporting. 

05-05-08, 1145 hrs, 180 Phelan Avenue, Suspended License
An officer stopped a vehicle for failure to yield to a pedestrian.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended license.  The driver was arrested and released with a citation.  The vehicle was impounded – Officer Adams reporting.

05-04-08, 1645 hrs, Ocean Campus/Wellness, Aided Case
An officer responded to a report of an injured student.  After seeing the student’s injury, the officer called for an ambulance.  The student was taken to the hospital by paramedics – Officer Wong reporting.

05-03-08, 2236 hrs, Ocean Campus/South Gym, Vandalism
An officer on patrol discovered someone vandalized the walls near the men’s locker room – Officer Wong reporting.

05-03-08, 1220 hrs, Ocean Campus/Cloud Hall 111, Aided Case
An officer responded to a report of an injured student.  The paramedics were already on scene and transported the student to the hospital – Officer Adams reporting.
