August 2006

08/31, Southeast Campus, 1030 hours-An officer was dispatched to the report of an individual trying to jump off the roof of the campus.  The responding officer was informed that the initial report was in error.  Further investigation revealed that the person reporting attempting suicide had been driven to the local police station, were the proper follow-up referrals occurred-Officer Fiscal reporting. 

08/31, Ocean Campus, 1125 hours - An officer was dispatched to the south gym on the report of an injured student.  The student had injured his foot while working out on the football field.  An ambulance was called and the person was transported to the hospital - Officer Milowe reporting.

08/30, Ocean Campus, 0950 hours-An officer was dispatched to the reservoir to take a report on a possible stolen vehicle.  The victim reported that he had parked his car and gone to class, and upon return his 1993 Honda was missing.  The description of the stolen vehicle was broadcast - Officer Brooks reporting.

08/30, Ocean Campus, 1315 hours-An officer was dispatched to the reservoir to take a report on a stolen auto.  A student had reported parking a 1996 Honda, and upon return it was missing.  The description of the vehicle was broadcast - Officer Brooks reporting.

08/30, Ocean Campus, 0855 hours-Officers were dispatched regarding a possible case of road rage and a physical fight that was occurring on Phelan Ave. near Riordan.  Responding officers found a victim who had been pulled from her car and beaten by the female passenger in another vehicle.  It was alleged that one vehicle had cut off the other vehicle, words were exchanged, and the victim was pulled from her car and struck numerous times.  The suspect was arrested, and the victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance - Officer Ngoi reporting. 

08/30, Ocean Campus, 1433 hours-A plain clothes officer who was investigating thefts in the north gym was met by a uniformed officer who had been dispatched to the report of a possible suspect in the thefts identified by gym staff.  Upon arrival, it was found that the suspect had an outstanding warrant for her arrest and was in possession of items that had been stolen in earlier thefts.  The suspect was booked for numerous counts of receiving stolen property - Officer Hector reporting.

08/30, Ocean Campus, 1630 hours-Officers involved with an earlier arrest of a suspect in the thefts in the north gym were able to intercept a confederate and make an arrest for numerous felony violations - Officer Edwards reporting. 

08/30, Ocean Campus, 1235 hours-A student made a counter report at the Ocean Campus station that his vehicle had been stolen from reservoir parking.  The vehicle was a 1993 Honda Civic - Sgt. Baccetti reporting. 

08/30, Ocean Campus, 0915 hours-An officer was dispatched to a report that a student had seen another person using a skateboard that had been stolen from him. Upon approach, the person with the skateboard claimed he was unaware it had been stolen and returned it to the owner - Officer Edwards reporting. 

08/29, Ocean Campus, 0915 hours-An officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle that had make an illegal u-turn over the double yellow line.  The driver’s license had been revoked, and the vehicle was towed - Officer Milowe reporting. 

8/29, Ocean Campus, 0945 hours-An officer on patrol was approached by a person who reported that she was the victim of a theft.  The locker in the North Gym in which she had stored her belongings had been opened and her valuables taken-Officer Brooks reporting.

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1515 hours-Officers were dispatched to the second floor of Cloud Hall on the report of a suspicious person hanging around the restroom.  The person was identified and the complaint resolved-Officer Castillo reporting.

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1443 hours-Officers responded to the north gym on the report that a plainclothes officer had a suspect in custody in relation to the numerous thefts that had been occurring in the gym.  Alert gym staff had identified the suspect from earlier thefts.  Upon identifying the person, she was found to have a warrant for her arrest and numerous stolen items in her possession. 

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1630 hours-After arresting a person suspected of numerous thefts in the north gym, it was discovered that she had a confederate who was also involved in the thefts.  The suspect was driving a vehicle with a revoked/suspended license, and was arrested with numerous charges, and his vehicle towed-Officer Edwards reporting.

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1630 hours-An officer was dispatched to the north gym on the report of a theft.  The victim had placed her personal items on a bench and went to change, and when she returned they were gone-Officer Ramirez reporting. 

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1700 hours-An officer was dispatched to the north gym on the report of a theft.  The victim had locked up her belongings in a locker and left her shoes outside.  The shoes were stolen-Officer Ramirez reporting. 

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1315 hours-A formal student who had been warned not to return to campus returned to a class in Cloud Hall.  The student was cited and escorted off campus-Officer Edwards reporting. 

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1102 hours-A person walking between the Cloud and Science building tripped on an uneven portion of the sidewalk.   Student Health responded, as did an ambulance-Officer Milowe reporting. 

08/28, Ocean Campus, 1030 hours-An officer was dispatched to the North Gym on the report of a theft.  A person using the shower had her backpack stolen while using the facilities-Officer Brooks reporting.

08/27, Ocean Campus, 1427 hours-An officer on patrol noticed a motorist running a red light.  Upon stopping the motorist, it was found the driver had a revoked/suspended license.  The driver was citied and the vehicle towed-Officer Milowe reporting.

08/27, Ocean Campus, 1715 hours-An officer on patrol noticed an ambulance stopped in the reservoir.  Upon investigation, it turned out that a student attending the motorcycle safety course had fallen and needed medical attention-Officer Wong reporting. 

8/26, Ocean Campus, 1614 hours-An officer was dispatched to the north gym on the report of a theft.  The victim reported she had put her purse in a locker and locked it.  Upon return, she noticed that her purse was missing-Officer Quintana reporting. 

08/26, Ocean Campus, 1427 hours-An officer was dispatched to the north gym on the report of a theft.  The victim had left her belongings unattended while taking a shower.  Upon return, her backpack was missing-Officer Wong reporting. 

08/26, Ocean Campus, 0908 hours-Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the learning assistance center.  A student had words with a staff member, and was being disruptive.  The student was removed from the center-Officer Ngoi reporting. 

08/26, Ocean Campus, 0846 hours-A student refused to leave a class she was not assigned to.  Officers were called by the instructor.  The student continually refused to leave, and was removed by the officers, cited, and released-Officer Milowe reporting. 

08/25, Ocean Campus, 0840 hours-A motorist was pulled over for vehicle violations.  Upon contact with the officers, he was extremely aggressive and refused to cooperate.  The motorist was cited and referred to the dean of students-Officer Torres reporting. 

8/25, Ocean Campus, 1600 hours-A student came to the Ocean police station and reported that she had fallen asleep in Rosenberg Library, and when she awoke found that her backpack had been unzipped and her wallet stolen-Officer Castillo reporting. 

8/25, Ocean Campus, 1300 hours-An officer was dispatched to the north gym on the report of a theft.  The victim reported she had placed her gym bag in a locker and locked it, and upon return had found her belongings missing.  There was no evidence of a break-in-Officer Ngoi reporting.

08/25, John Adams, 1630 hours-A student returning to his car in the student parking lot found his convertible roof slashed, and items missing from his vehicle-Officer Flood reporting. 

08/24, Ocean Campus, 1045 hours-An officer assigned to foot patrol noted that a vehicle with a disable placard was parked inappropriately.  Upon investigation, the placard was found to be stolen.  A citation was issued-Officer Edwards reporting.

08/24, Ocean Campus, 0700 hours-SFPD officers took a report regarding a sexual assault that occurred in the area of the tennis courts adjacent to the campus.  The female victim reported being approached by the suspect from behind and being forced into the bushes prior to the assault occurring.  The suspect is described as being a white male,  in his 20’s, 5’10”, w/black hair.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1030 hours-A person responded to the Ocean police station and reported that his vehicle had been stolen from the reservoir parking area.  The vehicle was a 1990 Toyota pickup truck-Sgt. Seligsohn reporting.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 0955 hours-An officer was dispatched to Conlan Hall to take a report of a battery that had occurred in the reservoir.  The victims reported that two vehicles had approached a vacant parking space, and the suspects got into an argument over who would take the space.  The supects jumped out of their car and hit one victim in the face and pushed the other to the ground.  Search of the area turned up no suspects-Officer Ngoi reporting. 

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1148 hours-A officer on patrol was stopped by a person who reported that her vehicle had been broken into in front of her house.  The officer took a report.  A gym bag and other items were taken-Officer Ngoi reporting.

8/23/06, Ocean Campus, 0757 hours-Officers were dispatched to Taste Buds on the report of someone stealing food.  Upon arrival they discovered two persons who were identified as being involved, one who was actually suspected of taking the food.  The suspect was non-cooperative and delayed the officers in the performance of their duties.  He was cited for the theft and delay, and referred to the dean of students.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1115 hours-A person went to the Ocean Campus police station to report that her car had been burglarized.  The victim reported that she parked her vehicle in the reservoir and locked the door.  Upon return, she discovered the doors were unlocked and her stereo was missing-Officer Edwards reporting.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1135 hours-An officer was flagged down by a person in the reservoir who reported that her vehicle had been broken into.  She stated that she had parked her car in the reservoir and locked the doors.  Upon returning, she found the vehicle open and items missing-Officer Edwards reporting.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1135 hours-An officer on patrol pulled over a motorist for a traffic violation.  The motorist had no drivers license, and was misusing a disabled placard-Officer Milowe reporting.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1200 hours-A person reported at the Ocean police station that he had checked his dufflebag into the bookstore claim area upon entering the bookstore.  When he left, his dufflebag was missing-Officer Hakes reporting.

08/22, Mission Campus, 1100 hours-An officer was dispatched to a report of a disruptive student.  An employee had bumped into the student, and the student repeatedly swore at the employee.  The student apologized and the matter referred to the dean-Officer Lopez reporting.

08/22, Ocean Campus, 1158 hours-An officer on patrol pulled over a driver for a traffic violation.  The driver had no license. The vehicle was towed - Officer Brooks reporting.

08/21, Ocean Campus, 1410 hours-A person went to the Ocean Campus police station and reported that they had been approached in the reservoir by two people.  One person pushed her in the chest, while the other hit her in the face.  The second person kicked her when she fell to the ground.  A passerby yelled and the suspects walked off.  The victim was taken to Student Health.  The area was searched, but the suspects had left-Officer Boyko reporting.

08/22, Mission Campus, 0915 hours-An employee reported a possible theft in the bookstore.  An officer responded to take a report.  It turned out that the items reported missing were in fact still there-Officer Lopez reporting.

08/21, Ocean Campus, 1225 hours-A student came to the counter at the Ocean police station and reported that his vehicle, which was parked in the reservoir, had damage to the driver side rear and front door of the vehicle.  It appeared to have been done with a sharp object-Officer Boyko reporting.

08/21, Ocean Campus, 1405 hours-Officers were dispatched to Rosenberg Library on the report of someone bleeding on the first floor.  Student Health was also requested to respond.  A person walking on the path around the football field was struck in the head by a hard object, possibly a rock.  The area was searched, but no suspect was found-Officer Hector reporting.

08/21, Ocean Campus, 1444 hours-A person came to the Ocean Campus police station to report her backpack was stolen.  When going into the bookstore, she checked her backpack and received a claim check.  Upon exiting the backpack, the attendant could not find the item-Officer Hakes reporting.

08/19, Mission Campus, 1300 hours-The officer at Mission Campus was asked to contact a facility manager regarding property damage that had occurred at that campus.  It was reported that an unknown individual had tampered with the controls of the HVAC system, causing damage to the room-Officer Lopez reporting.

08/18, Ocean Campus, 1428 hours-Officers were dispatched to assist a security officer who was being threatened by an unknown person.  Upon arrival, the person was identified and advised to leave campus or be subject to arrest-Officer Castillo reporting. 

08/18, Ocean Campus, 1350 hours-A student came to the police station to report the theft of a text book during the spring semester-Officer Boyko reporting.

08/18, Ocean Campus, 1530 hours-A faculty member came to the police station to report the theft of a computer unit that had been stored in a locked closet-Officer Castillo reporting. 

08/17, Ocean Campus, 1232 hours-Officer was dispatched to a medical emergency call in Rosenberg Library.  A student had lost consciousness and was not responsive to verbal direction.  Student Health responded to assist.  An ambulance was called and the student was transported-Officer Edwards reporting. 

08/17, Ocean Campus, 1115 hours-An officer on patrol was approached by a person who reported that her vehicle had been broken into.  Person had backpack and bag stolen from locked vehicle, with no sign of forced entry-Officer Boyko reporting.

08/16, Ocean Campus, 0810 hours-An officer on patrol was flagged down by a student who had been robbed at Geneva and Howth, two blocks from campus. The suspects had grabbed him by the backpack, swung him around, and stolen his wallet. No weapon was observed-Officer Brooks reporting.

08/16, Ocean Campus, 1840 hours-An officer on patrol observed a vehicle drive through the pedestrian crosswalk, narrowly missing crossing pedestrians. Upon contacting the driver, it was found that the driver did not have a valid California driver’s license. The driver was cited and the vehicle towed-Officer Brooks reporting.

08/16, Alemany Campus, 1447 hours-it was reported that a person had a seizure on the third floor of the campus.   Paramedics were summoned, and the person transported to the hospital-Officer Garcia reporting. 

08/14, Ocean Campus, 0900 hours-Officer was dispatched to take a report of a burglary that occurred over the summer session.  A computer had been stolen from the Student Union-Officer Edwards reporting. 

08/14, Ocean Campus, 1300 hours-An officer was dispatched to the Creative Arts building on the report of vandalism. Responding officer was shown a window that had been broken the over the weekend-Officer Castillo reporting.

08/12, Southeast Campus, 1930 hours-Officers at Southeast Campus were dispatched to a report of juveniles throwing eggs at the campus. The suspects fled at the officers approach-Officer Fiscal reporting.

08/08, Ocean Campus, 1153 hours-A college employee reported that her shoulder bag was stolen after she put it down for a few minutes near the Student Health Center. ID and credit cards were taken along with other contents-Officer Hakes reporting.

08/05, Ocean Campus, 1730 hours-An officer transiting between campuses was flagged down by a cab driver whose fare had exited without paying. The person was located and identified by the cabdriver and agreed to pay the fare-Officer Brooks reporting.

08/04, Ocean Campus, 0945 hours-An officer on patrol noted a vehicle that had been parked in Cloud Circle overnight. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen the previous week. A vehicle recovery report was completed-Officer Milowe reporting.

08/02, Ocean Campus, 1010 hours-An officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle for running a stop sign. The driver had a revoked/suspended license, was cited, and the vehicle was towed-Officer Edwards reporting.

08/02, Ocean Campus, 0900 hours-An employee reported to the police that his vehicle parked in the area of the maintenance shops had been damaged. No other vehicles were parked near the vehicle at the time-Officer Boyko reporting.

08/01, Ocean Campus, 1410 hours-An officer on patrol of the reservoir noticed a vehicle driving at excessive speed and making rapid turns. The officer activated his emergency lights and pulled the vehicle over. The driver was cited for reckless driving and exhibition speed-Officer Edwards reporting.
