August 2004

08/26, Ocean Campus, 1658 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft from Creative Arts.  A student reported that her ceramics supplies were stolen from her locker – Officer Smith reporting.

08/26, Ocean Campus, 1615 hours – Officers were dispatched to the CCSF bookstore regarding a theft.  An employee of the bookstore reported that her purse was stolen from her locker.  Police received a description of a possible suspect.  Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect – Officer Borrego reporting.

08/25, Ocean Campus, 2205 hours – A counter report was regarding an auto burglary on the West Road.  An instructor at the college said his vehicle was broken into and several items were stolen – Officer Smith reporting.

08/25, Ocean Campus, 1950  hours – An officer stopped a vehicle for not having a child secured in a safety seat.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license.  The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation and his vehicle was impounded – Officer Torres reporting.

08/25, Ocean Campus, 1830 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft from Cloud Hall.  A student said money was stolen from her lost wallet – Officer Smith reporting.

08/25, Ocean Campus, 1530 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a stolen backpack from Cloud Hall.  A student reported that his backpack was stolen from his classroom while he was on break – Officer Smith reporting.

08/25, Ocean Campus, 1515 hours - A counter report was taken regarding a theft from Cloud Hall.  An employee of the college said he sat his textbook down for a minute and when he looked back it was stolen – Officer Smith reporting.

08/25, Ocean Campus, 1249 hours – An officer on patrol spotted a person writing graffiti on Cloud Hall.  The officer stopped the suspect and issued him a citation for vandalism and released him – Officer Murillo reporting.

08/25, Ocean Campus, 0840 hours – A police officer directing traffic on viewed a traffic accident on Phelan Avenue.  The involved parties started arguing.  As the officer was responding, one of the parties punched the other.  The driver that threw the punch was issued a citation for battery and released – Officer Torres reporting. 

08/24, Ocean Campus, 2215 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle in parking lot K.  A student said someone broke into his vehicle and stole several items from his car – Officer Hector reporting.

08/24, Ocean Campus, 2150 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle in parking lot K.  A student said someone broke into her vehicle and stole several items from his car – Officer Hector reporting.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 2050 hours – A Sergeant was dispatched to parking lot F on a report a man burglarizing vehicles.  A witness interrupted the burglar and the suspect fled the area.  All of the victim’s property was recovered – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1425 hours – An officer was dispatched to the Reservoir parking lot regarding a stolen vehicle.  The victims vehicle was stolen some time during the day – Officer Ngoi reporting.

08/23, Ocean Campus, 1118 hours – A sergeant responded to the Financial Aid officer in Cloud Hall regarding a disturbance.  Two students got into a verbal altercation when one of them tried to cut in line.  One of the students left the area and the second was contacted by the Sergeant.  A records check on the student found she had two warrants totaling $10,000.  The student was taken to County Jail Nine for her outstanding warrants – Sergeant Baccetti reporting.

08/20, Ocean Campus, 1755 hours – An officer stopped a vehicle for unsafe lane change.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license.  The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation and the vehicle was impounded – Officer Brooks reporting.

08/19, Ocean Campus, 1320 hours – Officers on patrol were flagged down on Edna Street regarding a battery with vehicle.  The victim said she was standing in front of a vehicle trying to tell the driver they were going the wrong way on a one-way street.  The victim told officers the driver inched forward until he hit her knees.  The victim said she then moved and the vehicle fled towards city college – Officer Wong reporting.

08/19, Ocean Campus, 1910 hours – An officer directing traffic motioned to a pedestrian to stop for traffic.  The pedestrian ignored the officer’s orders and walked into traffic.  The pedestrian was issued a citation for refusing to obey a police officer and released – Officer Borrego reporting.

08/19, Ocean Campus, 1610 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft in the Rosenberg Library.  A student said she left her backpack unattended for a few minutes and when she returned it was stolen – Officer Smith reporting.

08/17, Ocean Campus, 1445 hours – Officers responded to parking lot H regarding a disturbance related to a car.  Two subjects were claiming ownership of the car.  The investigating officer determined the vehicle might have been in a drunk driving accident.  The vehicle was towed for further investigation – Officer Brooks reporting.

08/16, Ocean Campus, 1715 hours – A Sergeant stopped a vehicle for running a red light.  The driver of the vehicle was unlicensed.  The driver was issued a citation and his vehicle was impounded – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting. 

08/13, Ocean Campus, 2217 hours – A Sergeant on patrol found a vehicle abandon in the middle of Cloud Circle.  The Sergeant was in the process towing the vehicle when a subject claiming to be the owner of the vehicle arrived.  The sergeant ran a records check to verify the subjects identity and found $6000 in warrants for the his arrest.  The subject was booked at County Jail Nine on two outstanding warrants – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting. 

08/05, Ocean Campus, 2122 hours – An officer stopped a vehicle for making an illegal u-turn.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license.  The driver was issued a citation and the vehicle was impounded – Officer Murillo reporting.

08/05, Ocean Campus, 1639 hours – An officer on patrol observed a vehicle break traction and fishtail out of a parking lot.  The officer stopped the vehicle and issued a citation for reckless driving and modified exhaust – Officer Jacobsen reporting.

08/04, Ocean Campus, 2105 hours – A Sergeant stopped a vehicle for running a stop light.  The driver of the vehicle had multiple suspensions on his driver’s license.  The driver was issued a citation and his vehicle was towed – Sergeant Seligsohn reporting
