April 2004

04/30, Phelan Campus, 1030 hours – An officer responded to SFPD’s Ingleside Station on a report of a student that was battered on campus.  The student said she got into a fight with two girls after attending class.  All parties were later identified and the matter was referred to SFPD’s General Works Unit – Officer Torres reporting.

04/30, Mission Campus, 1200 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft from vehicle.  An employee of the college said she was standing outside her car talking with a friend when someone snuck into her vehicle and stole her purse.  The purse was later recovered with some valuables missing – Officer Lopez reporting.

04/30, Phelan Campus, 0925 hours – Officer responded to the second floor of Cloud Hall regarding a person that had fallen down.  The officers found a teacher on the ground unconscious and bleeding.  An ambulance was immediately called and an officer began CPR with the assistance of a bystander.  CPR was administered until the paramedics arrived.  Unfortunately, their best efforts could not save the teacher who passed away a few minutes later – Officer Wong reporting.

04/28, Phelan Campus, 1023 hours – Officers responded to Bungalow 220 on a report of a fire.  A witness pointed out an area that was smoldering on the side of the bungalow.  The Bungalows were evacuated and the Fire Department was called.  The San Francisco Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze.  The fire was started by a discarded cigarette – Officer Ngoi reporting.

04/27, Phelan Campus, 1926 hours – An officer stopped a vehicle on Phelan Avenue for driving erratically.  The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid license.  The vehicle was impounded and the driver was issued a citation – Officer Brooks reporting.

04/26, Phelan Campus, 1535 hours – An officer responded to Riordan High School on a report of a stolen vehicle.  A student at Riordan said his car was stole from Judson Avenue.  Officers searched the area for the vehicle with negative results – Officer Milowe reporting. 

04/23, Phelan Campus, 1030 hours – An officer responded to the bookstore on a reported theft.  A student said someone stole his cellular phone.  The student said he put the phone down for a second and it was gone – Officer Wong reporting.

04/23, Phelan Campus, 0810 hours – Officers from SFPD and SFCCDPD responded to the area of Judson Street on a reported road rage incident involving a firearm.  SFCCDPD officers detained the suspects in parking lot F.  One person was arrested for brandishing a dangerous weapon and several other charges.  The other driver was not charged and released – SFPD reporting.

04/22, Phelan Campus, 1215 hours – Officers stopped a vehicle on Phelan Avenue for a lighting violation.  The driver of the vehicle was driving on a suspended license.  During the tow inventory of the vehicle, the officer also found what appeared to be a crack pipe and a plastic bag containing a powdery white substance.  The vehicle was towed and driver was booked at County Jail Nine on various charges – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/20, Phelan Campus, 0900 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a vehicle burglary in the North Reservoir.  A student said his car was broken into and his car stereo was stolen the previous day – Officer Smela reporting.

04/19, Phelan Campus, 1706 hours – An officer stopped a vehicle on Phelan Avenue for failure to yield for pedestrian.  The driver of the vehicle did not have a driver’s license issued.  The vehicle was issued a citation and her vehicle was impounded – Officer Murillo reporting.

04/15, Phelan Campus, 0931 hours – Officers responded to the bookstore regarding a possible shoplift in progress.  Officer’s made contact with the suspected shoplifter.  A criminal history check of the suspect yielded several felony warrants for his arrest.  The suspect was taken to County Jail Nine and booked for his warrants – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/14, Phelan Campus, 1500 hours – Officers responded to the SFCCD Police Counter to assist a student with a mental health issue.  The student was in obvious mental distress and had signs of a suicide attempt.  The student was taken to San Francisco General Hospital’s Psychiatric Emergency Services for a mental health evaluation – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/14, Phelan Campus, 0815 hours – Officers responded to Smith Hall on a report of a possible battery.  An employee of the college was battered on her way to work.  The employee saw the suspect at the college a few hours later and called police.  The suspect was located and arrested for battery.  The suspect was then issued a citation and released – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/13, Phelan Campus, 1600 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a domestic violence incident that occurred at Haight and Webster Streets a few days before.  The victim was attacked and robbed by her boyfriend.  The report was forwarded to SFPD’ Domestic Violence Unit and the victim was referred to city services for victims of domestic violence – Officer Brooks reporting.

04/12, Phelan Campus, 1410 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft of a vehicle.  A person had his vehicle stolen sometime during the day – Officer Hakes reporting.

04/10, Phelan Campus, 2315 hours – Officers were dispatched to a report of an overturned tractor on Cloud Circle.  Officers found the unoccupied tractor on its side still running.  The tractor was taken without the owners permission – Officer Alfonso reporting.

04/10, Phelan Campus, 0915 hours – Officers were dispatched to the Creative Arts building regarding gang graffiti.  Officers took pictures of the graffiti and forwarded it to the SFPD’s Gang Task Force for identification – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/09, Phelan Campus, 1430 hours – An officer on patrol spotted a vehicle driving reckless in the South Reservoir.  The officer stopped the vehicle whose driver had a suspended driver’s license.  The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for multiple violations of the vehicle code and his vehicle was impounded – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/08, Phelan Campus, 1445 hours – An officer responded to the Pierre Coste dining room on a reported vandalism.  It appears someone entered the dining room over the weekend –Officer Torres reporting.

04/04, Phelan Campus, 1220 hours – Officers on patrol were flagged down by an employee of Safeway on Monterey Blvd.  The employee said there was a man being disruptive in the parking lot.  The officers checked on the subject who was drinking alcohol in public.  The officers issued the subject a citation for drinking in public and released him – Officer Ramirez reporting.

04/02, Phelan Campus, 1330 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft from the Creative Arts Building.  A Student reported her wallet was stolen from her purse – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/02, Phelan Campus, 1100 hours – A counter report was taken regarding a theft near the Creative Arts Building.  A student said his bicycle was stolen – Officer Smela reporting.

04/02, Phelan Campus, 0933 hours – An officer stopped a vehicle on Phelan Avenue for making an illegal left turn.  The driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver’s license.  The driver was issued a citation and his vehicle was impounded – Officer Alfonso reporting.

04/01, Phelan Campus, 0935 hours – Officers responded to the Visual Arts Building regarding a burglary.  An employee of the college said several pieces of art had been stolen from a display case in the building – Officer Milowe reporting.

04/01, Phelan Campus, 0620 hours – Officers responded to the North Reservoir parking lot on a reported auto burglary.  A contractor working with the college said someone broke into his vehicle and stole his car stereo – Officer Milowe reporting
