Victoria Mara Heilweil is a part-time instructor at Cily College of San Francisco, California College of the Arts, and Academy of Art University.  Previously, she has guest lectured at UC Berkeley and Art Center College of Design.  Victoria received her Master of Fine Arts in Photography from California College of the Arts.

Victoria is a nationally exhibited photographic artist, educator and curator. Her artwork has been included in exhibitions at Intersection for the Arts, Root Division, Rayko, and Fort Gallery in the Bay Area, BC Space Gallery and the Robert V. Fullerton Art Museum in Southern California, the Visual Arts Center in Portsmouth, VA and the Washington Square Art Galleries in New York City. Victoria is a founding member of MicroClimate Collective, a team of artist/curators that present multi-disciplinary exhibitions exploring contemporary themes.

Her artwork reflects a fascination with marks, traces and remnants.  Specifically, how these reference both time and personal narratives.  Marks are often seen as ugly or undesirable, particularly in a disposable culture that fetishizes the clean and the new.  Victoria is interested in the allure of the ordinary and the mundane, and in finding the sublime in the ugly and the taboo.
