Stephanie Williamson is a part-time instructor at City College of San Francisco.
She has taught classes and workshops at numerous Bay Area locations including the ASUC Art Studio at UC Berkeley, College of Marin, Walnut Creek Civic Arts, and the Randall Museum, among others.
Stephanie experiments with various alternative photographic processes, from traditional darkroom to digital imaging. She has worked with plastic cameras for many years. She appreciates the surprise element inherent in low-tech materials like the Holga plastic camera or the pinhole camera, but will often scan these images and further manipulate them digitally. She also specializes in hand painting photographs and combining images with text. Her work has been exhibited nationally. Her commercial work includes portraiture, book illustration and cover art for music CD’s.
