Steve Kiser is a part-time instructor at City College of San Francisco, and operates his own art studio and workshops at Cubberley Arts in Palo Alto, CA. He has been on assignment for several international publications, lectured, given workshops and exhibited his work internationally. He has also been an instructor for Oliver Gagliani's Zone System and Master workshops.
As a consultant to the fine arts and educational community, he has created mentor programs for young artists and curates art exhibitions that concentrate on indigenous contemporary visual imagery. In the past he has been the vice president of Hands Across the Water, a NGO that supported health, education and nutrition programs in Timor, Indonesia and coordinating director of The Center for Creative Arts and Sciences. He has been awarded a Rotary Fellowship, for study in Brazil and Educational Foundation of America Fellowships for Native American Artist
As a photographer, with a background in music and sculpture, he is able to relay a distinctive and individual interpretation on seeing through the camera. The use of space, light and time plays a vital part in his images
