Orientations

Fall 2008 Orientations:
Please check back here for updated information.

NEW for Fall 2008:

You will now have 2 options in fullfilling your one-time orientation:

1) The traditional in -person way. Schedule posted below.
2) New online way. More information to be posted here soon.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION For All:

A one - time orientation is mandatory for all new users of the
Fitness Center.
Do NOT repeat the orientation paperwork if you have previously attended a Fitness Center orientation in previous years.
 
-All Adds must be completed before Saturday Sept. 6.

-First 2 workout sessions must be completed
by Friday Sept. 12.
(not applicable to faculty and staff)-  

Returning users of the Fitness Center do not need to attend an orientation but will need to sign up for PE 50/51 or the Community Services Program respectively.
-If you have taken PE 50 -3 times then you will need to sign up for the Fitness Center through Continuing Education  or contact Sean Laughlin for the online class information.

In - Person ORIENTATION SCHEDULE
Fall 2008

All in - person orientations will take place in the Fitness Center located in the New Wellness Center -Room 201
-In-person Orientations start promptly.  Please be on time.

In-Person Orientation dates and times are:

       Mon. Aug 18 @ 10-11am, 12-1pm, 6-7pm.
     Tue. Aug 19 @ 8-9am, 12-1pm, 7-8pm.
     Wed. Aug 20 @ 7-8am, 11-12pm, 5-6pm.
        Thurs. Aug 21 @ 10-11am, 12-1pm, 4-5pm.
      Fri. Aug 22 @ 10-11am, 1-2pm.
    Sat. Aug 23 @ 9-10am, 12-1pm.
    Sun. Aug 24 CLOSED

Late Orientation Schedule
Summer 2008
All Late Orientations are booked.  If you have already enrolled in the class but still need to attend a one time orientation you will need to drop the class.

>ALL students wishing to attend an orientation MUST BE ON TIME -on the HOUR....NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
>If you are late, you will NOT be given credit towards an orientation
>All users MUST attend an orientation AND enroll in PE 50/51
>Those wishing to attend a late orientation MUST pre register for one of the listed Late Orientations by following the guidelines listed below.
> Space is limited to 20 students per late orientation.
> Please do not just show up with out prior authorization from the process listed below.

Late Orientation Sign Up Guidelines:
1)
You may only sign up by sending a request 24 hours pror via email to slaughli@ccsf.edu
2) You must include the wording “PE 50 late orientation request” in the subject line.
3) In the body of the email indicate the desired orientation time listed from the schedule below AND your name.
4) You will then receive either an acceptance or denial via return email from the address listed above.. Simply sending an email does not guarantee a spot.  You must receive an acceptance email back from the address above.
Space is limited to 20 --first come first served.

Late Orientation Schedule:

Wed June 18 = 9am, 12pm

Thur June 19 = 10am,  2pm

Fri June 20 = 9am, 1pm, 7pm
All Late Orientations are booked.  If you have already enrolled in the class but still need to attend a one time orientation you will need to drop the class.

Summer Session 2008 Orientation Schedule:

Orientations will take place in the Fitness Center located in the New Wellness Center Room 201

June 16 :  9-10am, 11-12pm, 12-1, 6-7pm
June 17:  8-9am, 10-11am, 11-12pm, 6-7pm

Late Orientations After June 17 will view a video through
Friday June 20.  Schedule T.B.A.

NO LATE ADDS AFTER JUNE 20

Workouts start June 18
