How to Use

STUDENTS:

Register for PE 50
2 Units*
Fall / Spring

(1 Unit for Summer)

  • The Fitness Center will provide the participants with a total body workout designed to accommodate all levels of fitness; from the elite athlete to the person who has never worked out.
  • This instructional class will use the latest computerized equipment as well as personalized instruction will be available.
  • A complete circuit will provide strengthening exercises for all major muscle groups and a choice of cardiovascular workouts.
  • Other topics to be included are: nutrition, disease prevention, stress management, body composition.
  • Students and faculty/staff may use the Fitness Center on a DROP-IN basis, anytime during open hours, provided they are enrolled in PE 50 or 51 (faculty/staff) and complete a special one time orientation.
  • Members of the community may use the Fitness Center on a DROP-IN basis, anytime during open hours, provided they are enrolled in the *Community Services Class (via Continuing Education) Lap Swim/Fitness Center and complete a one time orientation (with in the out lined time frame).
  • All users MUST complete their first 2 workout sessions by Feb. 11.
  • All PE 50 adds (IF you were issued an add code) MUST be completed before Feb. 5. Note that the class fills up early.
  • To maually log cardio exercises and view workout summaries on the web, go to www.fitlinxx.com, log in, and answer a few quick questions.  If it is your first time and you have not done this before, you must sign up for this Fitlinxx service by clicking on the “New/Register Now” link on the left side of the www.fitlinxx.com web site.  Also note that for new users of the CCSF fitness center it can take up to 2 weeks to get your CCSF data updated with the Fitlinxx.com servers.
  • If you have already taken PE 50 three (3) times, you will need to sign up for the Fitness Center through Continuing Education.  Although you will not recieve a grade or units you will still be able to use the Fitness Center.  You may also see Instructor Sean Laughlin for details regarding taking an online course.
