I am a full-time instructor in the Computer Science
Department, where I created the college's first multimedia course in 1994, CS 183A, Multimedia Tools. Currently I teach Game programming (ActionScript) and Java programming courses. I am a part-time instructor in the Multimedia Studies Program, team-teaching with Cye Rollins IDST 142 - Designing Interactive Applications with Flash. I chaired the interdisciplinary Multimedia Group which created the Multimedia Studies Program in 1997, and served as its Coordinator during Spring 1999. My goal and satisfaction in teaching is to turn non- programmers into programmers. Graphic design and computer program design share many qualities; each embodies both creativity/intuition and science/analysis.
