Italian 1A - Gesti

I gesti hanno lo scopo di:	Gestures are used to:
aggiungere delle informazioni a quello che si sta dicendo (indicando un oggetto quando si dice “questo”)	add information to what we are saying (i.e. indicating an object while we say "this")
sottolineare quello che si sta dicendo (puntare il dito contro la fronte dicendo “Sei matto” )	underscore what we are saying (pointing a finger to the forehead while saying "you are crazy"
contraddire quello che si sta dicendo (ruotare il braccio dicendo "Bello, bello").	contradict what we are saying by rotating an arm while we are saying "Beautiful"
Quasi sempre hanno un uso familiare, anche perche’ offrono piu’ interpretazioni e possono confondere o irritare l’interlocutore.	Most of the time theyr usage is informal, because they can be interpreted differently and can irritate the listener
