The rigorous three semester vocational nursing education prepares students for a career in vocational nursing. A certificate is conferred for satisfactory performance and successful completion of program objectives. Students receive 50 semester units of credit. Students attend theory classes and practice clinical internship at several Bay Area hospitals. Upon graduating, students become eligible to take the NCLEX State Board Examination. Licensed Vocational Nurses find plenty of opportunities and employment in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, physician offices, home care, and numerous health centers.
