Overview
Below are instructions for applying to the Academic (Credit) Program or the Intensive English Program (IEP). If you do not know which program you should apply to, or would like more information about City Colleges degree options, please download our
Educational Pathways.
To determine which program is right for you, please answer the following question:
Do you have a minimum of:
TOEFL score of 473 Paper-based?
or Computer-based score of 152?
or iBT score of 52?
or IELTS score of 4.5?
If your answer is YES to any of the above questions, then you can apply to the
Academic Program.
If your answer is NO TO ALL the above questions, you may apply for
Conditional Admission to the
Academic Program and enroll in the
Intensive English Program.
If you just want to study English, you may apply to the
Intensive English Program.
