International Student Conditional Admissions Program


City College of San Francisco offers a International Student Conditional Admissions Program for International Students whose TOEFL score is lower than 473, which is a requirement to be admitted to the International Student Academic Program. This Program offers International Students the opportunity to be conditionally admitted to the International Student Academic Program providing they comply with the following:

Complete and submit all International Student Admissions documentation listed below by the established deadline dates as published in College Catalog and Schedule of Classes.
  • Official results of the International TOEFL test or Institutional TOEFL test.


  • Official high school transcripts translated in English.


  • A copy of the student’s OFFICIAL Transcripts of all high school and college work previously completed.


  • Official bank certification indicating the amount of funds available to the student at the time of application. The Bank Certification must list a specific U.S. dollar amount and must verify a minimum of $18,000 in U.S. dollars.


  • If the student is going to be supported by a sponsor who is a U.S. citizen or resident, the sponsor must complete an Affidavit of Support Form. The Affidavit of Support must be notarized.


  • A copy of both sides of the student’s I-94 form and title page if presently in the U.S.


  • A copy of the visa page of the passport if presently in the U.S.


  • A copy of the I-20 I.D. (student copy) if on F-1 (student) visa status.


  • Completed and signed Academic Program Application Form accompanied by a $50 non-refundable application fee.
Full admission to the International Student Academic Program is contingent upon the successful completion of the Intensive English Program and a score of 473 PBT on the TOEFL or placement in ESL 150.
