Apple Raisin Chutney
Ingredients:
| 2 cups |
Apple cider vinegar |
| 2 cups |
Sugar |
| 2 lbs |
Granny Smith or Golden Delicious apples, peeled,
cored, cut 3/4" pieces |
| 1 cup |
Raisins |
| 5 each |
cloves |
| 1 tsp. |
Salt |
| 1 tsp. |
Dried red pepper flakes |
| 2 tsp. |
Ground ginger |
Method:
- Stir the vinegar and sugar together in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and
simmer for approximately 10 minutes until syrupy
- Add the remaining ingredients and simmer until the apples are tender and
most of the liquid has been absorbed
- Cool completely. It will keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
