Sal Núñez is a full time faculty member and has been teaching in the Drug & Alcohol Studies Program since 2000.  He teaches Treatment Modalities, Physiological Effects of Addiction, Drugs & Society, Cultural Aspects of Addiction and other related courses.  Dr. Núñez is a practicing clinician, researcher, and consultant with over 14 years of experience in the field of professional psychology.  His interests lie in cultural clinical practice, neuropsychology, chemical dependence, pediatric health, indigenous medicine, and therapeutic drumming as a treatment modality.  Dr. Núñez has been investigating the medicinal properties of rhythmical patterns for over a decade and is the founder of the Healthy Drumming Institute http://www.healthydrumming.org
