Scholarship

John Palmer Memorial Scholarship

This award is presented in memory of John Palmer, former instructor and Department Chairman of the Printing Technology/Graphic Communications Department at City College of San Francisco from 1974-1990.

The scholarship is offered annually to students enrolled in Graphic Communications courses at CCSF. The one-time award of $150 may be used for books, supplies or fees.

Eligibility

• Completion of at least 16 units in the Graphic Communications Department
• Current enrollment in at least 2 classes in the Graphic Communications Department

• Award is non-renewable

Criteria for Selection

• GPA of 3.0 or better in Graphic Communications classes
• Letter of interest/intent in a Graphic Communications career

Procedure for Applying

Applicants must submit:

• Formal typed letter of interest detailing your educational and career goals in the field of Graphic Communications. Include any information you think would be relevant to our decision (i.e. work experience, courses at other schools, etc.)
• Unofficial transcript and courses in progress (available from your counselor)
• Completed application cover sheet
