9/11 Poster - The Artists

<--Back | Posters | Next-->

Originally installed in the Rosenberg Library at CCSF, this exhibit traveled the state to various community colleges, and was finally presented to the National Gallery of Art in Afghanistan.

The exhibit was a collaboration between the CCSF Graphic Communications Department, the Staff of the Rosenberg Library (Kate Connell, Library Exhibition Curator) and Creative Time, a public arts presenter in New York City.

(re)consider 9.11 was created in concert with Creative Time's "Time to Consider", a collaborative poster project and wheat pasting campaign in New York. Posters produced by Creative Time were distributed at the Rosenberg Library and were combined with City College student's work for this library exhibition.

20 Posters were designed and produced by students in GRPH 68 Design and Production Lab under the guidance of Regina Rowland and Amy Conger. The exhibit was designed and installed by students in GRPH 68 under the guidance of Regina Rowland.

Three posters were accepted for publication in Chiaroscuro, an internationally distributed publication of American University in Washington D.C. focused on social issues and the responsibility of art in proposing conflict resolutions.
