Patricia Chytrowski

Beginning her teaching career at City College in 1998, Patricia has taught both design and production classes, specializing in page layout and basic graphic design. She has worked as a designer for 17 years and draws upon her professional experiences to connect the classroom to the real-world when working with students. Patricia has had her own design business for 11 years, and enjoys working with small companies developing their identity systems and marketing collateral.

She has a B.A. in Graphic Design from San Francisco State University, Design and Industry Department, and a Minor in Technical Writing and Editing. Born in Belgium to Polish parents, she has traveled frequently to Eastern and Western Europe, and spent a year in Poland teaching English to students at the Academy of Fine Art in Krakow. In addition to teaching design, Patricia teaches Iyengar yoga, specializing in back and neck care. Her interest in therapeutic yoga came from her own struggles with back and hand injuries from years of working with computers. Now pain-free, she teaches both public and private classes in San Francisco.
