Originally born in Dublin, Ireland I started my education track in a different direction than that of printing. After completing a Diploma in Communications, and specializing in Sound Engineering, I packed my bags with green card in hand and decided to take an extended vacation in the US. Well, it turned into a 12 year vacation and it's still going strong. The Sound Engineering dream-job went by the wayside and in Boston I found myself accidentally working at Copy Cop, a 24 hour service bureau. This sudden change of career proved ironic, as printing runs in my family, the tradition beginning with my Grandfather who was a typesetter at Belvedere Press in Dublin.

In San Francisco, I took a job with BPS Reprographic Services, just as the digital revolution was changing the industry. Happily positioned up front on the digital bandwagon I spent the following 9 years using the latest technology to streamline work-flow procedures and make previously difficult tasks much easier.

As the Production Coordinator for the Graphic Communications Department at City College, I bring 11 years of print shop experience with me and cherish the opportunity to share that experience with such capable and creative students.
