Our Labs: Where to go . . .

As can be seen in the diagram below, the CCSF English Department has three primary labs to help students become stronger writers and readers. Each lab offers different ways to interact and different ways to learn, making for a powerful overlap when teachers, students, and tutors understand what is needed and how our labs, individually and collectively, can address those needs. Writing Lab (R207, LAC): Instructor and student (peer) tutors work one-on-one with students at any stage of the writing process. Composition strategy and grammar workshops also offered. Cyberia (Arts X 265): Faculty cyber-coaches assist students with technology-based reading and writing tools, including idea mapping and text-to-speech programs, grammar exercises, and reading activities.
