ENGLISH ELIGIBILITY EXAM

Week of October 17th

WHAT:

Once a semester, the English Department gives the English Eligibility Exam for students who want to demonstrate reading and writing competency so they can skip a class or classes in the sequence.  Some students also use this exam for initial placement. Any student may take this exam, but students need to earn a grade of C or higher in their current English class to use this exam to advance.

WHEN and WHERE:

During the week of October 17th, the exam is given four times, but you may take the exam only once a semester.  Come to a test site at any one of the times listed below; be on time and bring your student ID and photo ID, a dictionary, and a pen. You do not need an appointment.

Monday, October 17th                 2-4pm Rosenberg 304

Tuesday, October 18th                9-11am Rosenberg 304

Wednesday, October 19th          11-1pm Rosenberg 304

Thursday, October 20th               6-8pm Wellness 103

INFORMATION:

English Eligibility Exam preparation tips along with a sample exam are available in the Writing Lab, Rosenberg Library R207. They are located in a black file holder at the back of the Lab next to the window and available online at www.ccsf.edu/english/eligibility.
