How to attach a file to a Discussion Board posting in WebCT
These screen shots may look different on your computer but the process should be similiar.

Open the Discussion Board.

Decide which topic you want to post to. Open that topic by clicking on its name.

Click on Compose message.

Type a subject title and your message.

Click on the Browse button to start the attachment process.

Navigate to the file you want to upload. (This may look different on your computer but the process should be similiar.)

Select the file then click the Open button.

Verify that your file was uploaded by looking at the text field next to the Browse button...you will see a file path if the file was correctly uploaded. Your file has been uploaded but not attached. You must click the Attach File button to attach the file.

Under the Attach File button you will now see the name of the file you uploaded.

Click the Post button to post your message on the Discussion Board with the file attached.

If you decide not to attach the file, select the file first by clicking in the box next to the name of the file. Then click the Remove Attachments button.

To verify that your message was posted with the file attached, go to the topic in the Discussion Board where you posted. If the file was attached correctly, you will see a paper clip icon under the Status column. Message with Attachment icon

To attach a file using WebCT's mail is a similiar process as described above.
