CNIT - IMPORTANT STEPS FOR PROSPECTIVE CNIT STUDENTS

IF YOU ARE NOT A REGISTERED CCSF STUDENT

  • You need to apply to be a CCSF Student - information about tuition and fees and how to apply for credit and non-credit courses, can be found at the Admissions and Records website
  • After you apply, you will receive an email with your Student ID
  • If you applied for credit courses, your Student ID will be your User ID to login in your Web 4 account. The PIN (password) will be your birth date as MMDDYY (Ex.: Birth date = July 21, 1984, then your PIN = 072184)

Once registered as a CCSF student, the steps to register for a class and to check your CCSF Gmail account are detailed below.

STEPS FOR EXISTING STUDENTS OF CCSF

  • Verify what is your web appointment date accessing your Web 4 account
    • Once you log in, click on the Student Services & Financial Aid & EOPS link
    • Click on Registration
    • Click on Check your registration status
    • Select, from the drop-down list, the term (semester) you want to check and click the Submit button
  • Check the schedule of classes before your web appointment date arrives and take note of the CRN # of the classes you wish to attend
  • On your web appointment date, login in your Web 4 account to register for classes
    • Once you log in, click on the Student Services & Financial Aid & EOPS link
    • Click on Registration
    • Click on Add/Drop Classes
    • Select the term (semester) you want to register for - you might need to update your information with CCSF before you proceed
    • Use the CRN # to register for the classes you want

CHECK THE PREFERRED E-MAIL IN YOUR WEB 4 ACCOUNT

From Nov/2012, CCSF started reusing the CCSF Gmail account created for students. Students that had opted out before, had their account recreated. So, you should visit your Web 4 account to make sure you access that email. It is important to check the e-mail that has been set as preferred e-mail to your Web 4 account. This will be the only e-mail known and used by CCSF instructors and staff to communicate with you.

  • Once you log in, click on the Personal Information link
  • Click on View E-mail Adress(es) - verify the one that is set as preferred and then you can use the option Update E-mail Address(es) to change this preference

ADVICE: Some of the courses use the CCSF Gmail account that was created for you as it gives access to some Google Applications we teach. Visit our CCSF Gmail page if you want to learn more about using and setting up your CCSF Gmail account.
