The Last One!! ;-)
1. a) Draw the structure of the following boron cage compounds:
( Skip this one problem about Boron Cages! We did not cover it. Spring 2009)B6H12, B10H14, B4CH51- , C2B9H11.1. b) This is a fun one! This one is required.
A compound is found to have the empirical formula (NH4)XSbCl6. X-ray diffraction studies reveal that the anion consists of discrete units containing one Sb and six Cl's. The compound is diamagnetic. The electronic configuration of Sb is [Kr]5s25p3. Would you expect the compound to be only (NH4)2SbCl6 or an equal mixture of (NH4)3SbCl6 and (NH4)SbCl6 ? Why? Short Explaination.

"As always, you should also look at the other problems in the text for more practice. I like these:"
10, 14-17, 23-50, 57-66, 68-71 <-- from the 5th edition"I know it is practically all of them, but these are good to work on (studying for the Final)! Check your work with me! "
