Simple Graphing with Excel
The following handouts are intented to help first-time users learn how to create a simple graph using the spreadsheet program Excel. The directions assume that you are creating a graph using data collected during laboratory Experiment 7: Charles' Law. Excel is available on most campus computers.
Simple Graphing with Excel (Older Version) - This handout will help with graphing on older (pre-2007) versions of Excel. Most campus computers will have this version of Excel available.
Simple Graphing with Excel (Newer Version) - Many of you have this newer version of Excel on your home computer/laptop.
(Please note that other spreadsheet programs are also suitable for creating simples graphs. For example, OpenOffice offers a free spreadsheet program that is very similar to Excel. We are providing directions for Excel because it is the most widely used program.)
