Practice Test 1 Information
This practice test contains sample questions taken primarily from previous Chem 101A exams. While the questions are representative of the scope and level of the test you will take, they are NOT the questions you will see on the actual test. Use them and your Topic A and B homework problems to practice for the actual exam or as a tool to find out what you need to work on.
The answers to the practice test problems will also be provided, however, a full solutions key will not! If you are struggling with these problems, you'll need to talk with someone (come to office hours, work with a study partner, go to the LAC for tutoring, or attend an SI session.)
The exam will include a sheet that contains numerical constants, selected solubility rules, formulas, etc. so you do not need to memorize constants (such as Avogadro's number.) A copy of this sheet is included here - click on the "Formula Sheet" link below. You should look at this sheet while studying so you know what it contains and where to find the information that is relevant to this exam.
You will also get a copy of the periodic table as part of the test. To see the specific version of the periodic table you will get, click on the "Periodic Table" link below.
