Tutors and Mentors for
Computer Applications
A tutor can help you if you get “stuck” on a homework
assignment. You do not need an appointment to get help from a tutor.
Tutors are
specially-trained CCSF students who have successfully completed
several computer applications classes. (Tutors may not be able to
help with all applications.)
Hours when tutors are on duty are posted on a schedule by the
door of the Business Computing Lab, Cloud 111.
A mentor can help you if you need or want extra help on a
regular basis, such as once a week. Once you are assigned a mentor,
you will always meet with the same person. The mentor can help you
with assignments, point out successful study strategies, and assist
with organizational skills. Mentors are specially-trained CCSF
students who have completed several computer
applications classes. Sign me up — I want a mentor!

skills? Fill out a job
application to become a tutor
or mentor.
