Susan Boeckmann
Broadcast Media Services
Video Production Assistant

Susan is a San Francisco native who went all the way to the snowy Midwest for her college years.  In 1995 she received her Bachelor's degree in Comparative Religion from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.  Northfield is famous as the town where Jesse James and his gang were defeated in their attempt to rob the town bank.  In a daring gunfight the townsfolk drove the robbers off before they could discover that the safe was unlocked.

After graduating with no direction in life she set off to build hiking trails in a state park in Maine.  Failing miserably at that she retreated, tail between her legs, to the relative safety of the Grand Canyon.  There she worked for a year and a half in the accounting department whilst, in her free time, honing her television watching skills.  (There was nothing else to do there except hike or hang out
drinking in the local bars.)

Finally, in 1997, she returned to San Francisco and immediately enrolled in City College as a Broadcast Electronic Media Arts student.  (It was time to put all those long winter months of TV study to work.)  Four years later, and after dozens of video projects, both big and small, she was overjoyed to
become a permanent part of the Broadcasting Department as Broadcast Media Services' new Video Production Assistant.

Susan is also the voice of the Telecourse promos on EAtv.
