Maya has more than 20 years of experience as a broadcast engineer at KRON-TV. She designed, documented, built and maintained Channel Four's first fully digital on-air control rooms. and she provided audio and communications for vast number of live remote productions that included breaking national news stories, sporting events, news broadcasts, musical performances, political debates, and major civic events.

As a freelance sound engineer, Maya has recorded live sound for documentary films and provided live sound reinforcement for musical performances and other public events.  She designed, built and currently maintains the sound systems at the Montclair Women's Cultural Club.

Maya is also a PADI certified open water diver and swims laps in a public pool near her East Bay home every morning before coming into work.
