Save the Quail-A-Thon Presidio Restoration Site

By car from El Camino Del Mar Drive heading north:
  1. Turn right onto Pershing Drive.
  2. Follow Pershing around the curve and enter where you see the Natural Resources Field Office Sign.
  3. This is the meeting place; The Natural Resources Field Office, Bldg 1539.
By car from Licoln Way heading south:
  1. Turn left onto Pershing Drive.
  2. Follow Pershing around the curve and enter where you see the Natural Resources Field Office Sign.
  3. This is the meeting place; The Natural Resources Field Office, Bldg 1539.

Save the Quail-A-Thon Harding Park Restoration Site

By Car from Lincoln Way:
  1. Take Lincoln Way to Sunset Blvd and Turn away from the park onto Sunset Blvd.
  2. Follow Sunset Blvd. to its end where it converges with Lake Merced Blvd.
  3. Across the intersection there is a parking lot. Park here.
  4. Once parked, look over the bluff at the edge of the lot and to find the bridge. Take it across the lake to the restoration area.
By car form the East Bay:
  1. Take the Bay Bridge and get off at the Ninth St. exit; stay in the right lane of the exit which takes you onto Harrison St.
  2. Take Harrison to the first stop light and make a right turn onto Ninth St.
  3. Stay in either of the two left lanes and immediately after you cross Market St. go left onto Hayes St.
  4. Stay on Hayes until Gough St. where you will turn.
  5. Take Gough until Fell St.
  6. Turn right onto Fell, Fell takes you to Golden Gate Park.
  7. When you enter the park, stay in the left lanes, these curve around and turn into Lincoln Way.
  8. Take Lincoln Way to Sunset Blvd.
  9. Turn left onto Sunset and follow it to its end where it converges with Lake Merced Blvd.
  10. Across the intersection in a parking lot. Park here.
  11. Once parked, follow the bridge across the lake to the restoration site.
By bus:
  1. Take the M line (underground) to Saint Francis Circle.
  2. Walk to North West corner of Sloat BLVD. and West Portal Avenue.
  3. Take bus #23/ San Francisco Zoo to Sloat Blvd and 36th Ave.
  4. Walk down Sunset Blvd. to the parking lot at the convergance of Sunset and Lake Meced Blvd.
  5. Take the bridge across the lake to the restoration site.

    Half Moon Bay

    By car:
      From Hwy 280 and head west on Hwy 92.
    1. Turn left onto Hwy 1 and head south one block.
    2. Turn rightt on Kelly avenue.
    3. Head west to the beach.
    4. Tell the Park Aid you are here for the Restoration Project.
    5. The meeting place is here at eh Francis Beach Ranger's parking lot; 95 Kelly avenue in Half Moon Bay which is at the sourh end of the main Francis Beach parking lot.

    Heron's Head Park

    By car:
    1. From Highway 101 take the Cesar Chavez exit East.
    2. Follow along Cesar Chavez street until Third street.
    3. Take a right on third.
    4. Cross the Drawbridge.
    5. Take your first left onto Cargo Way.
    6. Follow Cargo way until it ends at a four-way stop.
    7. Proceed Forward into the Heron’s Head parking lot.
    By bus:
    1. Take the #19 or #44 line to Evans Avenue and Jennings Street.
    2. Walk down Jennings to Cargo Way. The park is on the right.
    3. Look for the mural on the shipping container.
    4. The park entrance is a few feet to the left. –OR-
    5. Take the #15 line to Evans Avenue.
    6. Then catch the #19 heading South
    7. continue from the above directions.

    India Basin Shorline:

    1. From Highway 101 take the Cesar Chavez exit East.
    2. Follow along Cesar Chavez street until Third street.
    3. Take a right onto Third Street.
    4. From Third Street turn east onto Evans Avenue.
    5. Follow Evans past the Post Office.
    6. Evans turns into Hunters Point Boulevard and then Innes Avenue.
    7. Drive past PG and E and India Basin Shoreline Park.
    8. Look for the Large tan building on the left.
    9. Take and immeadiate left onto Arleus Walker Street.
    By bus:
    1. Take the #19 to Innes Avenue and Arleus Walker Street. ( Tell the driver you want the second to last stop before the Navy Shipyard.)
    2. Follow the above directions. –OR-
    3. take the #15 to Third Street and Evans Street and transfer to the #19.

    GGNRA sites

    Wolfback Ridge, from San Francisco:

    1. Drive North across the Golden Gate Bridge.
    2. Drive past the Vista Point Exit and take the Alexander Avenue turnoff (the second exit).
    3. Follow the road to the right, going down the hill toward Sausalito (for a very short time).
    4. Take your first left onto Danes Drive(to East Fort Baker/Bay Area Discovery Museum).
    5. Take a right on Bunker Road(immediately before tunnel).
    6. Park in the lot by the bush sherlter behind the Marin Headlands sign and next to the tunnel
    7. Park only in a designated space and do not park alon the roadside.

    Oakwood Valley, from San Francisco:

    1. Drive north across the Golden Gate Bridge(101).
    2. Continue on Hwy 101 for approximately 4 miles.
    3. Take the Mill Valley/Stinson Beach/Hwy 1 exit, and proceed under the freeway.
    4. Drive west on Hwy 1 for 1/4 mile (passing an Holiday Inn and restaurant).
    5. Turn left on Tennessee Valley Road at the fruit stand.
    6. Follow the curving roadway for about 3/4 mile.
    7. Park on the right shoulder of the road opposite to the Tennessee Valley sign - do not drive all the way to the parking lot by the locked gate.

    Milagra Ridge, from highway 280

    1. Get onto Highway 280 on the San Francisco peninsula between the towns of Daly City and San Bruno.
    2. Take the Westborough Boulevard exit (west) and go one mile to Skyline Boulevard.(The Westborough exit is about 1.5 miles north of the Highway 380 junction that comes over to Highway 280 from San Francisco International Airport.)
    3. Cross Skyline Blvd going straight (Westborough becomes Sharp Park Blvd.)
    4. Go west 0.6 mile on Sharp Park Blvd to its intersection with College Drive.
    5. Look for a National Park Service sign (brown and tan color) to Milagra Ridge.
    6. Turn right and follow the road into the Spyglass Hill subdivision to a dead end where there is a gate.

    Mori Point, from highway 280 north and south

    From 280 South
    1. Take Highway 1 South/Pacifica Exit and turn left at the end of the ramp onto Francisco Blvd.
    2. Follow Francisco Blvd for less than 1/4 mile until you enter a subdivision.
    3. Continue straight ahead; the street will now be named Bradford.
    4. Go around the Moose Lodge to the rihgt and park on the shoulder at the gate to Mori Point.
    From 280 North
    1. Take the Westborough Avenue exit.
    2. At the end of the ramcontinue staithet across Avalon.
    3. Turn left on Westborough at the next exit light.
    4. Follow Westborough uphill.
    5. At the intersection with Highway 35 (skyline) continue straight ahead; Westbourogh turns into Sharp Park Road.
    6. Follow Sharp Park Road about 2 miles to Higway 1.
    7. Cross under the highway and turn left at the Tonto Francisco Blvd.
    8. Follw francisco for less than 1/4 mile until you enter a subdivision.
    9. Continue straight ahead, the street will now be named Bradford.
    10. Go around the Moose Lodge to he right and park on the shoulder at the gate to Mori Point.
