Motorcycle Programs

City College of San Francisco offers 2 degree programs to motorcycle enthusiasts:

Motocycle Technician Degree

The Motorcycle Technician Degree enables you to acquire the theoretical and the "hands-on" skills necessary to work on all types of motorcycles.

This program provides a comprehensive study of all systems and functions of all types of bikes. You will have the opportunity to experience a variety of conditions and actual repair and maintenance strategies. Having your own motorcycle is encouraged but not required. What is required is your passion and love of motorcycles!

The Motorcycle Training Degree program is a two-year program. You must complete 34 units of technical training, plus CCSF general education coursework. Below are listed the 9 courses required for completion of the program:

Intro: Motorcycle Design/Maintenance5 units
Fuel, Lubrication and Cooling 4 units
Motorcycle Tune-Up/Service4 units
Motorcycle Electrical Systems4 units
Engine Theory4 units
Motorcycle Frame/Wheels/Brakes4 units
Motorcycle Engine Overhaul3 units

Motorcycle Dyno Testing/Repair2 units
