power structure, immigrants, cultural pattern and conflicts, and the

Examination of one of the fastest growing Asian American groups in the United
States during the past 15 years: mainland Southeast Asian Americans from
Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The diversity of the Southeast Asian community in
the United States will be examined. Topics such as socioeconomic adaptation,
community organization and family life will be discussed from a sociological
