Foster Youth Mentoring Project
The Foster Youth Mentoring Project (FYMP) matches mature adults who want to serve as mentors to recently emancipated foster youth, or those who are about to emancipate. Anyone enrolled in CCSF classes and interested in serving as a mentor or peer counselor for a youth or young adult is welcome to apply. They will receive professional training and weekly supervision from Psychological Services staff, and have opportunities to develop community projects with their mentee, expanding his or her support network as they learn how to live independent, fulfilled lives.
