TRDP

Teacher, Reading and Math Development Partnerships

The Teacher, Reading and Math Development Partnership (TRMDP) is for students interested in serving the community by providing literacy and math tutoring and in gaining experience working with children in an elementary school or middle school (K-6th grades) setting. It is a valuable exploratory experience for any one considering a career in education. TRMDP can be a bridge for City College of San Francisco students planning to transfer to a four year college or university. City College students earn transferable credits for course work and an education award that can be used at any accredited institution. Applicants are welcome to apply for the 2007-2008 year, beginning in July 2007. More information and an application.

FYMPFoster Youth Mentoring Project

The Foster Youth Mentoring Project (FYMP) was designed to bridge the gap between a foster home and independent life for San Francisco’s over 400 foster youth who are expected to emancipate in the coming year. Volunteers support these youth through this important transition. Interviews and volunteer selection will commence in July and the program year will begin in December 2007. More information and an application.
