Course Description:

Students will be linking classroom learning with an actual job experience in the fire protection field by volunteering as interns in various divisions, bureaus and other assignments within the San Francisco, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Daly City or Presidio Fire Departments. These assignments will be in a variety of support areas of the fire protection field that will require the student to learn professional behaviors and how to maintain good working relationships in a professional environment with coworkers and with the public, as the assignment requires. The student is expected to maintain a dress code (dark pants with white shirt if practical) and good grooming standards while participating as an intern
