Examination of the creative process by studying the history of women in the arts from pottery, ritual chants, and story telling to painting, sculpture, jazz, novels, and twentieth century performance art. Recognized "greats" as well as anonymous women of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Films, tapes, slides and a field trip will complement class lectures and discussions. CSU/UC

Beliefs, attitudes, anxieties, and behaviors associated with dying, death and bereavement in terms of sociological theory.
